in this video i show you how i am welding a stove from old rims. the inner part i cut out with the plasma cutter.
it's easy to weld . it is important that air is added below
after welding, the old paint is burned off.
i had to attach a heat shield to the top of the pipe to protect the wooden beam from heat. i wish you a lot of success while welding.
a warm workshop in winter is something valuable!

I am impressed with the idea of using the intercooler for your exhaust pipe. Putting a fan behind it and should heat up a cold shop really quick. I have 6 old mobile home rims I have been planning on using for my shop stove. (No centers) and after watching this I remember I too have an intercooler in my collection that could reall make a difference. I think I've even got a few of the old slag chipping hammers laying near my old stick welder that I haven't used in years....

Great job Lukas! If you put a fan behind that manifold blowing through the manifold you will spread some of that heat around!

That's great. I've got a few old rims lying around that I can put to good use. Cutting would be pretty easy with my everlast plasma cutter too.

I'm going to fish out those unused rims from my garage now and weld them up with my everlast mig welder.
Look at this place! Stone walls. Huge anvil. You aimed the stove pipe at an existing... shroud/chimney/fire-pit? What was the original stone masonry purpose/idea? What an amazing place!

Ein toller Ofen! Könntest du hier in Deutschland aber knicken. Wer der Schornsteinfeger den sehen würde, müsstest du erstmal sämtliche Gutachten für den Brandschutz, Abgaswerte, Feinstaubgedöhns und sonstwas vorlegen. Sonst wird dir das Teil schneller still gelegt, als du Blaubeerkuchen sagen kannst:-/

Klasse Ofen... nicht ganz zulässig in Deutschland aber ist ja egal. Die Idee ist jendenfalls super!

weiß ich... deswegen hab ich ja geschrieben, dass es in D nicht zulässig wäre. Wir haben hier extrem krasse Vorschriften was Holzöfen angeht. Selbst gekaufte Öfen, die 4-5 Jahre alt sind, darfste nicht neu aufstellen. Die dürfen nur am ursprünglichen Ort aufgestellt bleiben. Selbst ein Werkstattofen muss den neuesten Abgasrichtlinien entsprechen und entsprechend geprüft sein. Schade manchmal um sehr schöne alte Öfen.

2 critiche: lo sportello più in alto sarebbe stato più comodo per caricare più legna forse, e con un vetro era bello anche più grande, e poi con la canna fumaria così il tiraggio non sarà tantissimo, soprattutto a freddo, comunque bella e bellissimo montaggio video!!
