These are the most handsome pair of moctoe boots I've ever seen. I cant decide whether I like the contrasting white sole more or the recraft but either way great work.
I have 3 pairs of RRL boots. I have a black pair of their Bowery boots. I also have 2 pair of their Clifton boots. One pair in black and the other in browny cherry. I love them all and they’re as comfortable as my Vibergs. There was a Ralph Lauren outlet not too far from where I live. It just closed shop much to my dismay and I got all RRL clothing and shoes at a huge discount. I bought all my boots at $200. Here’s the kicker. I fortunately get a $150 stipend from my job for footwear so u guys do the math. Stipend also waived tax. I will always be a RRL cheerleader. Their jeans are second to none but this is a boot chat. The boots are great. I wear them 3 seasons out of the year and don’t baby them. They still look great after about 7 years now.
I wonder...who actually makes those Ralph Lauren boots. Maybe Thorogood? Maybe Rancourt? Maybe even...Alden? I know Crockett and Jones, and Alden...have made shoes for Ralph Lauren in the past. They look extremely comfortable. Thanks for the post. I love Wyatt and Dad Cobblers...the best cobblers on the TH-cam!!!
Lol, that was a quick after shot. In the video where you saw the nails being hammered in, was the other boot. We only do one boot during the video to have a before and after comparison. Then we shoot the complete after part later, once the other boot is done off camera. We realized after the second video part was done, and the camera equipment gone, that we didn’t have the nails in the second boot. They were in there before the customer got them. Good eye for details!!
Awesome job! I have this boot in size 9. I bought the upsize sue to basically needing an 8eee (in Allen Edmonds). Do you think you can shorten it to an 8eee or close?
Any idea who made these for Ralph Lauren? They don’t make their own boots and shoes. I have 2 pair myself, and I know one of them was made by Allen Edmonds for them (they actually came in an Allen Edmonds dual label box)…..I believe the other pair are Alden’s
Flexibility and water resistant. The tanning process used makes the same thickness of leather, as other leather soles, more dense. Therefore it is stiffer and more water resistant.
After watching this I would love being a cobbler. The only cobbler in my area of NC retired 3 years ago so the market is wide open. Anyway, where does one learn this amazing trade?

Everything from Ralph is overpriced. This is coming from RL being my favorite brand. I can't fathom even millionaires paying 3k for a western RRL shirt or 8k for some purple label trousers. I personally only buy discount stores like TJMaxx and buy new oldstock Polo shirts, etc for like 10-20 bucks, forgoing the retail $100. Quality is just not up there.
Bespoke suits from some of the most famous tailors in the world cost less than their off the rack suits, hand made bespoke shoes from Gaziano and Girling cost less than many of their shoes. Just another sign of a frothy fake economy that cannot last.
I really like the vintage look of the Vibram corded soles when done as half soles!

To change sizes requires a lasting system that we don’t have. So we don’t offer that type service.
