This man brought happiness to millions of people. It don’t get any better than that. So keep all your Polo items, because Ralphee ain’t gonna live forever. And once the icon is gone, his original designs are gonna be worth a lot. Long live the King!
Ralph Lauren is my absolute favorite designer. I love that he is wearing an old, worn-in Kmart flannel shirt. He looks fab in it. (If he designed it the plaid would be perfectly lined up, including the pockets.) So this just goes to show--- that you can look stylish in less expensive clothing---it's all about confidence and the way one carries themselves. I also love how humble Ralph is. God bless Mr. Lauren.
I admire this man and the brand he built. I think Ralph Lauren has made beautiful, timeless, stylish clothing, shoes, accessories and fragrances for men and women for decades. I've never been able to purchase much of it but always been an admirer of the products and ad campaigns. God Bless Ralph.
I live not very far from his CO ranch. One day I was in the area and looked over at some motorcyclists stopped along the roadside. One had a shock of white hair and I knew instantly who it was.
Angelina I was living west of Telluride then. I saw RL and his buddies stopped before going over Dallas Divide. I live in Montrose now and travel past his ranch with some frequency.
Angelina Telluride itself, or this part of Colorado? I’m happy to chat with you if you think this would be helpful. I’ve lived in this area off an on for twenty years.
Love Ralph Lauren. I'm originally from the bronx. I'm 72 now and live in PR where my parents were from. Btw in the 80's, for a temp job, i worked in Ralph Lauren's offices. The legal dept. copyright infringement specifically. His office on 52nd st. Loved entering everyday the old brass elevator. Great memories. Thank you Ralph.🎀
I remember my first "Polo" shirt. Red with the coveted blue polo rider logo. $28.95 purchased at Thalheimer's department store in Charleston, SC while on a family vacation. I was a junior in high school in 1983 and I thought I had arrived when I bought it and wore it to school. There were only a few kids who had one in my rural Ohio high school, and I was one of them! Will always love Ralph Lauren.
The best part of RL is that despite being a luxury brand, there is always a level of sensibility to it. A good piece could last you ages and they get more beautiful with time. It’s the uniform of the classic man.
I am only happy when I shop at Ralph Lauren, I have hit every sale this year and I got some amazing stuff! love his clothes, always have and always will, timeless classic chic style, I just purchased his blue pin stipe pants and they work with his white sneakers and a white shirt or a white turtle neck or his crispy button down white shirt , love it!! That's the incredible thing about his clothes, you can take all his pieces and use them over and over and interchange them and they all work!
Allll it's not about name or brand his magnificent creations made him to be an icon period! Class, elegance, creativity, new creations, colours, designs, fabrics totally💯 on point 👌💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖

He wasn't from Belarus. Belarus wasn't even a country back then, and Belarusians weren't even a nation with a formed national identity. His parents were born in Poland - Frieda (Cutler) and Frank Lifshitz, an artist and house painter, were from Pińsk, Second Polish Republic, and Drahichyn, also Poland back then. Pińsk was always a Polish city, with the majority of Polish citizens before WWII, only now, after forced partitions after WWII it's Belarus. Belarusans were a mix between Poles, Russians, and Lithuanians for centuries, and they were simply a minority living in Poland. But these lands were never Belarusans, only after WWII, a bloody, illegal war, and only after this war the country named Belarus was created out of the Polish territory, but Raphl's parents were born before WWII, so in Poland, period. these are FACTS.
He is a warm and seems a comfortable person, what I believe he believes is people are people not the cost of what they put on. Although nothing wrong with having money. He earned all his. I am rich but not in material things and life is to short to not be happy and thankful. God Blesses me every day, just not with money but I am rich. I do hope other people will get that about him because I feel it is how he feels. He appreciates he has been blessed and knows it. Blessing come to us different from our creator and we should love him and be thankful. The most expensive thing and valuable in life is friends and family. Peace!
I LOVE THIS MAN. It's not just about its great design, but also about the attitude to life and the feeling you get when you surround yourself in the magical atmosphere that Ralph Lauren creates. It feels like you are living in a fairytale world characterized by beauty, coziness and nature. Thank you Ralph, for inspiring my Universe! I love you! ❤🙏
Ralph Lauren is jus iconic he not flashy but oh he makes statements in fashions style grace class he needs a bio pic film of his life how he became a huge name in the style of fashions thank you for being for the culture aswell hip hop

I wonder with his taste and handsome face if he had a slightly shortened nose. My own is shorter than it was or tge bit below it is longer and i have also struggled with dental implants and new lips. However sometimes i see young people who look like theyve been 'edited' and think i need to get over it, nor invent a new 'lens'. I presume this is respectful, or delete it.
Good to see you again Jane Pauley, but are you not wearing your glasses? You're squinting through the whole interview. Love your boots Jane and jacket! RL is a classic. His clothing is comfortable, not trendy, classic which is what I love about it well made. I have a few blazers I've had for 20 years, still wear them, they never go out of style! I especially enjoy his handbag collections!
His fashions are very elegant. But, I don't think anyone looks nice in denim, on coarse furniture, in rusty old trucks, or in decrepit surroundings. I mean, you could stretch authenticity all the way into the caves, but it would just look ludicrous.
I love Ralph Lauren’s designs. Timeless...legendary.
copies everything from everybody that's popular, he made BROOKS BROTHERS & P Press his.. Jane Pauley was looking for a gift bag.

Just like Henry Ford, he captured the American dream and created subtle elegance with romantic bravado.

It is the spirit of Nature that predominantly inspires Ralph as a designer 🌠
His bedding is absolutely beautiful. I buy retired prints on ebay, mainly the pillowcases.
I love Ralph Lauren. It’s classic style.
What a beautiful life.. I intervied with his daughter at Dylan's Candy Store. She was as beautiful as she was kind. This is his true legacy :-)
When we lived in NY, my kids were crazy about her store on 3rd Ave. Great to hear she’s kind as well as successful
Long life to you Ralph Lauren.👍
That Blue dress for Melania was absolutely beautiful.

This is a good man. True to his family and himself.
True to his family, which is why he changed his last name to something made up..

He's so good!
My father went to the same school as him in the Bronx. I wish they had been friends. Maybe I could have gotten a few rrl shirts every year at least.
I’ll be right back...I’m going to Kmart.
But he really proves that if you have a sense of style and a good eye you can pull off a look even if you don't have a lot of money.
I enjoyed this interview.

The Teddy🐻Bear designer. 😊

Really ? Come on Ralphy, The rusty pick up truck is a bit too 'straight out of the prop dept', as if he's doing a 1990s ad campaign.
Five foot five and he can't find jeans with a long enough inseam?
What about all the sweat shops that pay 10 cents a hour? All the children sewing? It's all good and coming up roses I guess. Great. Thumbs up.
You have proof he runs sweat shops...I don't think so
and the people who make his clothes are slaves.
