Yooo im so excited for next video your about to transform that car man its gonna look sick. The yellow calipers look amazing just lowered mine yesterday!
@@midlifemods HaHA AGREED! Hey if you are looking for silly mods paddle shifters are a good blind buy i bought some off eBay for 170 they are on my page in a shorts video not bad at all. I have the same front splitter!
I was the guy that gave you a hard time about the chrome, IT WAS MEEEEEE. I'm sure you knew then but, I was just busting your chops haha, I love all S4's! Can't wait to see the transformation though, will look badass!!!
:) Hey man! Yeah no worries, I was in denial the whole time. LOL! Thanks for planting the seed of chrome delete. The car is about to go from retro to mean! I can't wait!
I really think your issue with paint coverage came from the fact that your calipers were already painted. I’ve watched 10s of videos of this exact paint system and all of the ones without pre painted calipers were basically covered after 2 coats. I said that to say, yours looks just as good as the rest I’ve seen, you did a great job and you are another reason I’m planning on getting this kit.
I think you’re absolutely right. The factory paint was not a great source for adhesion. But overall, they turned out pretty good. But can you believe I just took them off for a big brake kit? After all that work 😂
The G2 Brake Caliper Paint System works better on unpainted calipers. Looked great on my old A4 and I had plenty of paint left. Maybe a darker color would have covered the black OEM better?
It is supposed to be an all in one kit. No need for primer. I think it's really best for metal calipers without paint. My calipers already had glossy lacquer on them so this probably wasn't the best choice. But hey, it was worth the experiment. And I think it actually looks really good from standing next to the car.
I also put on 4 coats and it still didn't cover completely . Expensive small can of paint! I received a full refund from G2 after 2 emails to them complaining that their product didn't work as advertised.
@@midlifemods I just left it with the 4 coats on. From 10 ft away it looks decent, up close it look so-so. You can see areas where it is not fully covered. For $70 I expected a better result. After telling me that I must have done something wrong, G2 finally agreed to give me a refund and would look into the product.

Right?! I’m finally divorcing the chrome after 2 years defending it! 😂

@@OneslowS4I’ve been thinking about paddle shifters! Maybe some day after a new flat bottom wheel.

She is a keeper!
The car or the wife? 😂
@midlifemods both! I can't get my wife to help me with mine. Great job on the brake calipers, BTW.
Thanks!

@@midlifemods I can believe that 😂 seems like that’s the go to for everyone as well as the g2 paint

Yeah, I think you're right. It's really made for unpainted metal.
Maybe primer on the calipers would have helped? Why don't people remove the caliper and spray them instead of hand painting? Looks good though.
A lot of people do. This is the lazy way for sure.
@@midlifemods does that paint say you don’t need primer?

I’m sorry to hear that. What was your final solution for paint?

I’m sorry man.
On what car?

you're putting s4 "sticker" logo on a brake caliper yeppppp that's not gonna melt at all or not stay nice like the painted logo.
I’ll reply in 6 months with an update.
