I turned off adb debugging and paired with the newer ps4 controller with the light bar on the touchpad, it paired up to my 2nd gen firestick and worked but the controller lags like crazy, if i push up on the controller it refelects on the firestick 2 seconds later...i dont know if its worth using this controller

Mine doesnt work either. I have a Fire stick 4K. I can pair my PS4 controller to the fire stick, but it doesnt move or control anything on the screen. Doesnt make sense.
Update: I ditched the POS PS4 controller and used one of my old XBOX One S controller and it paired with no issue and I can use it to navigate the fire stick.No issues.

Umm i just went to the settings and put bluetooth devices and put game conntrollers the it said dualdhock4 and i clicked connect and it worked fine.

Guys it won't work on all firesticks, I think you have to have a newer version of firestick.
It works with all Xbox one controllers. For PS4 controllers it need to be the second generation

I mean to say ADB debugging.
Step : Navigate to settings -> Device -> Developer Option -> ADB debugging -> Make it OFF.
