I just hit 1,000 hours in this game and I'm still addicted to it! Every time I go to another game and come back, I'm immediately reminded why this has been my go-to game for so long. It's equal parts a comfort game and also a skill test. Everyone already posted some great tips, so all I have to offer is - have fun. If you're not enjoying a build, change it up. Talent points can be returned and respent without penalty. Try a new class now and again. Fatshark has worked hard to get this game to where it is now, but it's important that you keep the game fresh for yourself too. Bonus tip: Another commenter mentioned the corruption could only be healed via the Medicae station - this is partially true. Corruption can only be *completely* healed by the stations. Med stimms will also heal some missing health and some corruption. Medipacks will not heal corruption on their own (there may have been a Veteran ability that allowed medipacks to do so, but I cannot offhand remember if it still works that way.) It's good to save stations and packs for the right situations - keeping an eye on your teammates' health bars will help you decide when to use what.
Thanks for tuning in and commenting this! I'm having an absolute blast, and I can totally see what you mean about it being both comfort and a challenge. I'm so happy I decided to hop in now and give it a try, especially since its giving me the opportunity to meet such awesome people in the community! And ill remember those tips about the corruption! Thank you for clarifying as well.
Med Stim (green) - heals you and restores the purple from your health bar ( for a certain amount) Combat Stim (red) - More power , Rendering (ammo pen) And Peril generation (spyker stuff) Celerity (blue) - Faster reload speed , Stamina reduction cost , Incrased attack speed and buch of more stuff for guns ( i dont remember all) Concentration (yellow) - Increase you Combat Abylity CD 4x Med Stations have 4 uses. So basicaly each member can use it one time and its out. In Mastery Tab ... you unlock blessing for that specific weapon a you can apply them on your weapon at the ponk. :)
Great video Breadley. Wanted to give some friendly tips for the future. #1 "Plasteel" and "Diamantine" are both crafting materials you collect during a mission. The resources you collect are shared among the team, so it does not matter who picks it up. It is a good idea to collect as much of it as you can as you will need it later. "Diamantine" is rare in comparison to "Plasteel" and only appears more often on higher difficulties. #2 Dodging does not cost stamina, but it does prevent it from replenishing for a short moment. Each weapon has what is called an "effective dodge count". Basically, how many times you can dodge before the dodge distance becomes less effective. This is something that becomes important on harder difficulties, but if you wonder why your dodges sometimes start to feel sluggish, that is why. The effective dodge count just needs a couple seconds to reset, so do not dodge too much or past what the weapon is capable of. You can see how many dodges the weapon uses by inspecting it in your inventory. #3 Every weapon in the game has a special ability. I would highly recommend that you try the special button on all weapons you come across, including ranged. Some weapons are heavily reliant on their weapon special ability, such as the "relic blade" or the "crusher" that you used in the video. #4 There are four "heretical idols" hidden in each map. They appear as glowing green skulls and provide plasteel if you manage to destroy them. They can be hanging from ceilings or hidden elsewhere and give off a strange whispering sound when they are nearby. If you collect all of them in a single mission, you also complete a penance which will give you additional rewards. #5 The Shrine Penitentax is where you collect your penance rewards. Penances are challenges that give you penance points to progress on the penance track. Each reward on the tracker demands a certain number of points to unlock, and different penances, depending on how time consuming or difficult will grant different amounts of points. After you complete a penance, it will show as a pop-up during the game and you will need to collect it by speaking with "Hestia", the lady who is managing the station. #6 Weapon marks do not only change how the weapon looks, but also how it functions. Most weapons have between 2-3 different marks of the same weapon family, and they all feel different. If you like a weapon but do not enjoy how it handles, then try a different mark and see if it is more to your taste. The marks usually have a heavy, medium and light version of the same weapon. Whenever you want to try a different version of a weapon, you can freely change the mark in your inventory and the weapon will maintain their current stats. #7 Crafting and upgrading weapons used to be a bad idea until you reached level 30, but with the latest crafting update, it is not as much of a big deal. If you want to upgrade a weapon you enjoy, then you need to find a good base for it. Each weapon has two numbers on the stats, the left number is what you currently have, and the right number is the max potential for when the weapon is fully upgraded. Stats on a weapon cannot surpass 80%. #8 Every map has a hidden puzzle (with a couple exceptions), where you can find a secret "martyr skull" by solving a riddle or a jumping puzzle. These relics are harder to find than the heretical idols and you need to physically pick them up when you find them. After collecting a "martyr skull", you will need to also finish the mission in-order to claim it. They unlock penances and whisper bits of lore if you listen to them. Hope this helps and sorry if I typed too much.
Oh my sweet summer child... Just you wait. Also, use the heavy attack with the knife to do targeted headshots on elite enemys. The block/push attack of the knife also does considerable damage. Once you get to the higher levels, you'll need to focus on single targets. And use the special attacks of your weapons. Some of them are instrumental.
For the Zealot the Crusher is my favorite weapon. With the HammerBlow mastery your impact is really high so you just knock people around, even those fully armored normal and giant guys with the hammers are getting pushed around with your normal attacks, they can't even attack you since your being a big bully. It's super fun!
Nice! It's cool to see you getting more used to the melee. You've still got a lot to learn before you're sliding and dodging your way through levels like a whirling ballerina of death in true zealot style, but you've started the climb. Time for some movement tips and tricks! 1) Sliding makes you immune to ranged fire for a second. When approaching ranged enemies, make sure to spam slide. Sliding does NOT stop melee enemies hitting you. 2) Dodging makes you immune to melee attacks for a second. Make sure to dodge whenever you hear an incoming melee attack. Dodging does NOT reliably stop ranged attacks, with the notable exception of snipers. 3) When you have the big red laser beam on you, that means you're about to take a billion damage from a sniper. Dodge or slide when you hear the charge-up sound of the sniper shot. 4) When being charged at by a plague ogryn, hold block. Then, you can melee and dodge backwards whenever you see him telegraph an attack, then go back in for melee. Great zealots can solo plague ogryns in melee without taking a hit :) 5) Not a movement thing, but purple health means corrupted. Each separated block in your health bar is 1 "wound". If you get knocked down, 1 wound gets corrupted (purple). If you have no more uncorrupted wounds, you die. The only way to clear corrupted wounds is the medicae station. Medicae stations have limited charges, you can see how many with the big glowing blue circles on them.
Being a whirling ballerina of death makes me so giddy to think about lol 1. This is wonderful news. I'll definitely make sliding a muscle memory starting now so I can get used to it! 2. Oh I forgot about the audio cue for melee attacks. I'm too busy bonking I haven't been paying attention to it. I'll mess around in the training to get better with the cues. Met those snipers in this part and yeah, my health got CHUNKED. 3. Slide to the left, slide to the right. Got it! 4. I shall learn to be a great Zealot for the emperor! 5. THANK YOU! I wasn't sure what any of this meant, so I really appreciate the clarification here.
Heretical idols are glowing green boxes that give you 10 plasteel times the difficulty (10 on level one missions, 20 on level 2, etc). There are 4 per each level to destroy. Best zealot builds all start with right tree, the two talents above blades of faith are essential for any good build. They make life much much easier. Dodging is your lifeline as a zealot. Use the audio cues to time your dodges and it will be easier.

If your on PC I have to recommend using the numeric UI mod, lets you know exact amount of ammo that pickup give you and how much ammo will be wasted if you pick it up now, the max ammo amount that the gun has, the ability cooldown and the amount of ammo teammates have and visible dodge count for when they become ineffective and other stuff, all which can be turned off in the mod settings menu
And for the Zealot charge ability, recommend using it while holding down heavy attack. The knife has horrible horde clear but is decent against singular targets and allows you to move the fastest out of the melee weapons IIRC, the light attack does barely anything against armored enemies
I'll check out this mod today! I had no idea about the ammo situation and stuff so that's good to keep in mind. Thanks for taking the time to comment this!
