I just got one of these for my truck. It’s a 2020 GMC Denali. I will say that the hitch is a very quality product and it’s very sturdy. But apparently they are having issues with the GM trucks and the factory puck system. The GM trucks system is recessed by about a half of an inch and that makes it so that the goose puck will not lock into the factory puck system. I’ve contacted GENY and they said they’ve had some issues with the GM trucks. I hope they can get it figured out because it’s a great product.

Did you have room between the truck bed cover rails & hitch . I have the same bed cover. Thx & happy new year

This fall I plan to order a 2024 F350. I constantly debate myself what to order, standard bed or long bed. With the goosepuck installed what is the distance between the ball to your rear window? Since it has been 5 months since you made this video is it providing sufficient clearance between the trailer and the rear window? If you had your choice would you go back to the sidewinder? Thank you for the video.

The Goosebox is amazing.. No chucking and smooth to pull.. I would never go back to a fifth wheel again.. I have had lots of messages from peeps that went to goosebox and absolutely love it.. The sidewinder is a good hitch but had some tongue pull tendencies such as sway and stability.. The offset plate with goosebox is perfect for me.. I have enough clearance to drive and maneuver in most situations. Without the offset I do stress more.. The king bed vs shortbed has its pros and cons.. I do a lot of traveling to big cities with small parking spaces and I don’t care to drive long wheel base trucks.. This is why I got rid of my mega cab Rams.. The long wheel base will ride better and tow better and have a larger fuel tank if you can drive it daily and you will not have to worry about hitting your cab.. hope this helps with your decision. Either way junk the fifth wheel and get a goosebox.. You will have zero regrets and your back will thank you later.. The first trip we took after goosebox install my wife said I didn’t even know we were towing a trailer. We just did Texas to Florida and it was amazing.. I10 from Beaumont to 12 would have beat us to death lol..

What ever you do! Do not used the B&W ball with the 4" offset in the bed of your truck. You will eventually turn to sharp, and bust out your rear window! I know, because that is what happened to me!

This is me probably overthinking but have you had any issues with it being offset pushing down enough to dent your bed, or torqueing your gooseneck receiver? The weight is not directly over the receiver so just curious if that presents any issues.

I would say that I definitely recommend some Never Seize On Gooseneck Balls before you Put One Back In. I feel bad for the person that got my last Diesel Pickup with my B&W Turnover Ball. I just never towed with my Personal Truck all that much, and even though I had a LineX Bed Liner, those Turnover Balls always end up Rusting Inside of that Mechanism, and all it takes is a Little Bit of Rust to freeze one of them up. I also had a B&W Extension Ball, that moved it back a Few Inches, not sure that it was worth the Extra Money though when I bought it a few months later.
Also, the thought of ReSkinning the whole Truck if it gets Damaged is probably another reason that I will stay with Dodge or GM Pickups with Steel Bodies for company trucks unless it is a Dually with Flatbed.

Thanks for the tip, I have a Gen-Y hitch that sits on the B&W ball I the bed of my pickup. I am going to buy some "Never Seize", before I pull again.

@@alanpetersen4497 Any kind of Anti Seize products, most are a Silver Color that is brushed on with the applicator cap.

I wish that I had viewed this video, before installing the GEN-Y hitch.
