If the president was serious about supporting local manufacturing, the government would have supported mobius instead of buying fancy range rovers, wat a shame

You still believe in the president wa story za jaba and always giving promises that none of the promises has manifested into an action........This weekend, it was the fifth time in public since last month him saying he is not a mad man

Then Mobius should have worked harder to make that happen. Tesla started out the same way , but developed a cult following of people that supported them, even bought cars in advance. Tesla also lobbied very hard to get incentives from the government , which essentially have kept them afloat all this time. Even with that it still posted losses each year since 2003 and only achieved profitability in 2013 and 2019 is when it achieved sustained profitability.

@@walexia Are you daft, do you think Mobius has the same kind of Runway that Tesla had, You cannot make that comparison since Warren Buffet himself invested in Mobius. the Macro conditions are very different, and America's economy is exponentially larger than ours

Bana you are right, I once worked for a certain organisation from w certain country in Europe 90% of the items we used including big things such as cars and small things like pens came from their country and that was made clear.

💯 I honestly wonder if anyone that has been in this country's leadership the last decade or so really understands - or cares - that manufacturing would have been a great way to move this country forward, yet it has been dying a long slow death for years now. There doesn't seem to be any will to change that by making the business environment more conducive, or even doing obvious things like what you mentioned. Kazi wanatengeneza ni za mjengo tu.

We can't buy locals while our goon's of government and mpigs are swimming with range Rovers, they should be an example for us but yet they like Prados and ranges why not us also

they were only rebadging this car. It is Chineese made but we cannot ignore the stupidly high import taxes in Kenya. For 1.5 million on a zero mileage SUV, Mobius really tried, I even guess they were selling it at a loss
