I wouldn't have realized that Rhya was disguised as Will if it weren't for the comments. I had forgotten that they shared the same body.After all, if the captain they were suspecting had shown up injured in the same place as the enemy would be no good. But why would the wizard king have forgiven Will and the captain of the purple orcas not? Well Julius already knew Will and instead of mentioning several reasons behind this forgiveness I will say something that can explain a lot- William felt completely guilty unlike Gueldre
Was he framed? Doubt it. Did Vangeance/Patry set him up, most likely. Did he already have the intent to circumvent the system to acquire wealth and power, definitely. However, I believe his blunder is more of an introduction to the future side story of the Purple Orcas as a whole. The squad of the truest Magic Knight, also became the most corrupt. I'm sure later in the story the squad will get its redemption and Zora will play a big part in it.
09lowkey I agree with most of that but look at what he says when he tries to make his escape. “I’m gonna find a way to clear my name” he says this even though he’s already been caught. It’s true that he’s motivated by wealth and power but he already has that as a Magic Knight captain so why would he jeopardize that to side with a group of anarchist?
@@wesp9020 I feel you, I'm sure he isn't all bad. Gotta consider he's a product of his environment too, he was a Purple Orca after all, and they're sketchy. I was also looking at the part where Julius was talking about the people who he looked after and raised as magic knights (Yami, Jack, Charlotte and Gueldre). I always wondered how close they all were, apparently those 4 are homies from back in the day. In the episode where Julius is like, the kingdom is broke, so we're gonna use him to make us money, and immediately Jack and Yami started cracking jokes on him like they're used to doing it. I'd imagine he has ulterior motive, but he's not a villain interested in destroying the Clover Kingdom.
@@wesp9020 Dude, he was framed!!!! In chapter 56 after Rill and Asta catch Gueldre and they're all leaving, Rhya reveals himself breaking the 4th wall asking, 'can you guess which captain I was?' So imagine, Rhya was imitating Gueldre when Catherine and George saw him making deals with Patry/Licht, so that's who Marx & Julius thought the traitor was. And during that whole meeting, Rhya was disguised as Vangeance, so none of the Captains would recognize the wound on Patry/Licht's arm from when he fought Julius. *so that's why Vangeance was always late to meetings, it was Rhya in disguise and Rhya is lazy af. makes sense, i guess
