Story
It's A.D. 21XX. Set after the Repliforce War from Mega Man X4. The Repliforce was wrongly accused of being Mavericks during the incident, the public doesn't trust the Maverick Hunters anymore and demand for change. In the midst of it all, a new threat appears that causes Reploids to act erratically. Are these Reploids truly cyber-rebels or just victims of a bigger plot? Help the blue Reploid hero Mega Man X discover the truth of the Innocent Impulse incident! - เกม

Real interesting choice making air dashing and hovering part of X's stock kit. Would love to see the kind of level design that opens up, especially with that insane mobility upgrade the leg parts grant.
For a fan game taking place during the events of X4 and then continuing onto its aftermath this game looks amazing!
The gameboy look was smart. This really stands out visually unique.
The opening act being X4's final chapter and so well remade. that alone i'd have to fave this.. but damn. way to go
The X4 End game was so faithfully re-created, it overwhelms me with joy! X4 is my favorite in the series. So thank you for that. Let's not forget these wicked smooth animations in low-res sprites, excellent attention to detail and I'm not even done with the video!
Human characters caring for Reploids. This is SO MUCH something that was missing for most of the X games! 😭

The MGS2 reference got a good chuckle out of me. Didn't expect it to actually work in a Megaman X setting but it does.

Ice Arrow has another mechanic behind it. After firing the ice, you can angle the arrows by holding up or down.
I like how the fandom makes better games than Capcom. They put more love into these games. More than what Capcom did lol.
That's not exactly a high bar to cross considering that Capcom haven't made a single Mega Man game since MM11 came out over 5 years ago. The Gunvolt/Luminous Avenger iX games are essentially the closest we get these days to MM games that are made by devs who worked on the franchise in an official capacity.
@@CrimsonMoonM Indeed. But even before that, a lot of games they put out were lackluster. X7 comes to mind for a terrible game...the fans know what they want to see in these games, and often make for good developers because of it.
@@CrimsonMoonM There were fan games that came out in the 2010s that rivaled Mega Man 11 in everything but graphics. Capcom really dropped the ball with this franchise. This demo of Innocent Impulse has more love and cared put into it than the majority of the X games too.

There was even a Mega Man 10 that rivaled the actual Mega Man 10 (Unlimited) in pretty much everything, as much as I love that game.
And then 11 was the equivalent of a fried chicken with nothing but the bones. Doesn’t even have multiple Wily stage themes or DLC that allows for Proto Man or Bass, it’s a real shame.
@@abaddon1503 Mega Man 10 is actually my favourite game from the classic series. Even though I call out Capcom I still have a bias towards the official games so I can't say that I have fan games that I like more than MM10.. Though I guess MM10 is more of an Inti product than a Capcom one.
Regarding fan games, I'm out of the loop when it comes to what has come out in the most recent 3 or so years but I think Unlimited is the 4th best fan game out of all that I've played.
Rock N Roll, Super Fighting Robot and Rock Force are all better. I'm a big Rock Force fan.
I love the Chip tune. excellent work. I can't wait to play the full game. and I appreciate the sparing of a reploid boss.

This is a fantastic MMX fan game. I really like the look of it, and the gameplay looks smooth. The 6 direction slide looks a bit chaotic though.

Was not expecting Rico from X Dive in here. Or a MGS2 reference with VR. That said, I really like the GBC format for the sprites and world. And the little Hub is neat too. Honestly, I love seeing the Reploids interacting with the Humans... you don't see it in the X series. The Zero and ZX series is the closest we get to that.
Chilly Fox is a cool character (pun not intended) with his moveset and skating. Also, love he's not a Maverick but a Maverick Hunter with his own way of protecting people that conflicts with the Main Branch. Kinda sets up what happens in X5. And love the fact he's not terminated but knocked out to repair him. Reminds of Classic Mega Man.
Wished the main series did that more often.
A Combo Style system like DMC? Or any Action games with it. Also, I LOVE the Armor that gives you the Wall Bouncing Dash in Omni-Direction. Like Lilac from Freedom Planet or Rocket Knight.
The facial expressions on the characters in the dialogue box is a small, but sweet treat. Shows a lot of personality, even if a little OOC at times. Wait, you can test out Weapon in the Get Weapon screen? Why did no one think of this before?
And recreating past stages and bosses too! Cool. Very ambition game.

What x4 would have looked like if the it were made today
I would like to see Magma Dragoon in the VR space where he is a boss battle but gets a dialogue and tells you that hes been enjoying fighting and training the hunters without a care for the world and how he finally can have his rematch with X. And after you beat him he tells you to come back soon for a rematch 😂

that charged shot mechanic with force buster is brilliant. it's a 2-in-1 attack, albeit being slower to overcharge. it's at least as powerful as the giga buster's double charged shot
You can tell just from the story and dialogue that the devs know what they're doing. Crapcom can suck it!

mmm it has more colors, the X character design is based of Mega Man Xtreme, and that game is from Gameboy Color but in this fangame he has more colors, i say its more like a 16 version but tiny.

Same thing still can't get help from the other hunters just x like always so Annoying can't there be any game where the player can get help from the other hunters instead of always doing everything alone

there is spark mandrill and perhaps there is another one but i didnt search well.
About the full relase im not sure but they say they are working :3
There's currently two VR stages available + two bonus VR bosses;
We estimate the next version release (0.3) during 2025, full release cannot be estimated at that time

Yes, yes it is! The devs had a hiatus shortly after the release of v0.2.3 due to technical issues (the main person behind it, Solren had a PC failure) but recently indicated they've resumed development.
@@AmatsuDarkfyre , that's nice and, truth be told, I think that these people should work with the Mega/Rock Man X: Corrupted people and give us a proper Mega/Rock Man X9. I have ideas for Mavericks and bosses if you all want them.
@@paxhumana2015 I'll be honest, that makes no sense. There's no real overlap between the two projects other then they're both MMX fan games. They're in two different engines, two different teams, two different goals on how they want to make their games. I don't think it would be the team up you expect it to be.

O jogo esta legal, bem feito, mas dando uma opinião, a forma como é construído este jogo, em termos gráficos, deveria ser como a da serie X até o X3, ou ainda como o do megaman X corrupted, o qual esta ficando excelente. Minhas palavras não são para criticar negativamente, o jogo esta legal, muito bom, mas acredito que pode melhorar. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

A military committing insubordination for no good stated reason after it was credibly accused of performing an atrocity before going rogue and engaging in city-destroying warcrimes in the name of independence while building a planet-destroying WMD that they intended to use as a homeland for their ethhnostate is technically political.
I find General's statement to be a complete load of crap. He complains about having to fight other people's wars, but who pays for your hardware jackass? Why would a civilian government want a military to exist if it wasn't answerable to them? He just comes across as so entitled, wanting all the prestige of being a military leader but none of the accountability. And it's not like Repliforce were slaves. Storm Owl is older than Repliforce, having been friends with Storm Eagle and petty rivals with Chill Penguin, he would have had to join it after its creation. Slash Beast's profile establishes he joined Repliforce to satisfy his bloodlust. Iris was created by Repliforce and she left to pursue her own interests as a Maverick Hunter Navigator. Frost Walrus was a Maverick who got a stay of execution to join Repliforce. So much of the restrictions and expectations are in line with what can be expected of a military. Don't want to obey orders? Don't get a job where obeying orders is part of the job description.
And it's not like humanity didn't have reason to be concerned about Repliforce. They had a history of screwing up so badly, entire cities were destroyed. Their troops and equipment were seen at Sky Lagoon. Colonel committed insubordination when he refused to come in for questioning, at best looking like he was shielding a rogue Repliforce unit and at worst looking like he was part of it. Their roster included a reckless hothead (Spiral Pegasus), a black market arms dealer (Burn Dinorex), an unrepentant Maverick (Frost Walrus), a war criminal (Storm Owl), a city-destroying war criminal (Jet Stingray), and the guy who framed them (Magma Dragoon). They built a planet-destroying WMD as their new homeland that they intended to use as extortion against Earth. They had such lacklustre security that Sigma managed to hijack it.
And yet, General never acknowledges any of this, just blaming humanity. He is everything wrong with so many of these "political" Mavericks, claiming to be a victim of anti-Reploid bigotry while engaging in so much of the sort of criminal behaviour he claims he is unjustly accused of doing.
People use Dr. Weil and Neo-Arcadia from the Mega Man Zero series as proof of Sigma and General's concerns being justified, glossing over the decades of atrocities, apocalypses and attempted genocides that would help create and empower people like Weil, as well as heavy-handed, reactionary states.
I can see the real life parallels.

I don't believe in the God you worship. It seems that he knowingly put Adam and Eve,who were created to not know any better,into a situation that began the fall of not just man,but of all life.
