I’m an electrician, and we use a Greenlee hydraulic bender to bend larger EMT conduit/rigid. It has different size aluminum shoe’s that fit whatever size conduit you want to bend. If you don’t match it correctly, the conduit/pipe will pinch. Not sure if maintaining the inside diameters important for future projects, but if it is, you may want to look into that. This comments only a suggestion, to help on something I had to learn through hard knocks! It turned out great, see ya on the next one!🇺🇸
Electric Boat in Groton, CT cold bends 3 1/2" HY120 for submarine pressure hulls. This is for homemade DY's with nothing. Oh BTW did my time packing 5" rigid around @ 110LBS per piece, putting in a sub station tell us more about being a pipe bender.
Harbor Freight sells these for around $200. They use a molded cast iron piece for each size of pipe. I do not have one, but each time I see it in the store I tell myself that I should buy it. One of these I will buy one.
Clever ideas ! As said below, you need to match perfectly the tube dimensions otherwise it gets somewhat flattened. Good quality pipe benders are horribly expensive unfortunately.
Instead of painting the revised bender head (brilliant manufacturing process with the bar-stock!!!) I would've nickel plated that naughty boy. Also I'd have done a little more fill welding & maybe a second layer of bar-stock on the underside. Just personal preference. GORGEOUS, though! 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
Good effort - but I know that it won't bend muffler tubing without crushing it,you need to fill it with wet sand but that method is labourious.Trev New Zealand
it could be better if you fill the tube with sand and solder "close" it soldering tops. or with soapy water and freezing before bend it,it will maintain the inner dimensions better.
you could made round spacers from tick metal sheet and installed on plastic wheel from both sides and fastened firmly with bolts to prevent plastic wheel to deform
Projekt je odlican svaka cast... Inace prilikom savijanja cijevi zavaris na jednom kraju komad zeljeza i napunis cijev pijeskom do vrha i isto tako zavaris komad zeljeza da pjesak nemoze izlazit i tako savijas i cijev se nece tako ,,uvijat s unutarnje strane" i inat ces odlicne rezultate 👍😉
Still distorted the pipe too much to use for anything like a roll cage. It made the pipe too weak in the bend the way it flattened it out. But still good build for just a regular pipe bender.
just buy the 12 ton harbor freiight pipe bender and you get 6 dies up to 2" pipe for $140, other bender manufactures charge that much or more for one die
jedan mali savjet ako trošiš puno wd40 :D radim u autoindustriji i sve stupne bušilice, robotske ruke i slično koriste svinjsku mast za podmazivanje kod bušenja, urezivanja, narezivanja itd...naravno onu koja je neupotrebljiva za kulinarstvo...
I nepotrebno ti je stavljati prijevod i na hrvatski, doviljno ti je samo napisati na engleskom i molim te koristi neke normalne fontove koji se lako čitaju... i ovo u doljnjem desnom kutu tvoj ig malo bode za oci probaj svoj ig rec na pocetku ili na kraju a ne ovako kroz cijeli video

E en contrado tu video y me sabo Porque e estado dando vueltas para encontrar un sitio donde doblar tubería para hacer un bici patin y e estado en muchos talleres y lo único que me decían es que qué en muchos ya ni se inventan directamente no otros por doblar un tubo 100€ pero por esos 100€ conseguí los materiales me ice algo parecido al tullo y estoy muy contento
Труба плющется , руба долдна бить чистой исмазаной штоб она хорошо скользила по боковим роликам ,кстати они должни бить тоже строго по диаметру труви и глубина соответствовала , труба должна пряттатся у глубину ролика ,а то што ти построил гнуть кругляк ,он не труба плющется небудет , и еще можно край труби заглушить ,заварить и набить песком плотно плотно и завар ть другой край перегнуть , задать нужний загиб края вскрить и висипать песок

The best idea I've ever seen on how to make a die to bend tubes without tools and hard to get. Nice job.
Why not take all the money spent on the metal and buy a bender

If you heat up place you need to bend, use flame torch.

Why don' t you get dimensions for shoes and rollers on a greenlee 880 tube bender? It might help fix your problem.
For it to bend well you need to put sand inside it.
