This comeback is not for everyone! THEY MADE THIS FOR SONE!!! I saw a lot of comments from other kpop fans that maybe new or expecting something big or revolutionary like the modern kpop but this is a solid 2nd generation Girls Generation signature sounds and vibe. We are grateful that they made this possible because we know this might be the last (hopefully not!) comeback and album they will release. THANK YOU SNSD AND FELLOW SONE!!!

About "Villain", in a interview they revealed that Tiffany actually created the song, like the demo itself, she came up with it and then Sooyoung wrote the Korean lyrics afterwards. Of course, with the help of other songwriters and producers!

THEY wanted to do this on THEIR terms. too long have they been held down by terrible circumstances, management, mental and physical health issues, and the rabid expectations of celebrity/entertainer life... the world they work in always likes to make it about the fans and what we want, but what about them? that i just thought, man...itd be amazing for us fans to get something, sure, but they deserve to be happy and do something for themselves as GG, too. and the fact that they did, and obviously seem so fulfilled by it, that just radiates off of them and the fans feel it too because you're right, we all did grow alongside them. we never left and we never left. thats what makes this feel so meaningful. love from all ends. i treasure GG and the fandom. and all of that makes me feel so warm- i am glad you feel it too. ♥

The girls came back perfect timing for me personally, I am going through a really difficult part of my life and was honestly thinking nothing was going to make me happy anytime soon with what’s going on, I was going to be trapped in this depressed state for a very very long time. And then the news of their comeback came out and I seen their schedule being totally active for a month, I found a light in my life to get me through this darkness. My husband is happy and thinks it’s funny but if only he knew just how much these girls were apart of the good parts of my early 20’s, it’s like my past is coming back to push me forward … or something like that. Anyways I am so fucking happy they are back and I love when you randomly come out with a video lol!!!
I'm going through a breakup, and I've had this song on repeat. It brings back so much light into my life right now.

Villian is the song that Tiffany wrote with Josh cumbee during the pandemic on Zoom session!! It's said by Josh himself on IG and Twitter…I m proud…and Tiffany also sang the English demo…after that she worte the korean lyrics with Sooyoung :) Tiffany is also the vocal direct for this song… it's written in the album book details.

the MV is showing all the girls doing what they've been doing during the past few years. Taeyeon with a microphone for her solo activities, Tiffany on a plane going from Korea to USA, Seohyun on a stage for musicals (I think 😬), Yoona being an actress, Hyoyeon DJing and having her own solo activities as well, the only ones I'm not entirely sure of are Sunny, Yuri, and Sooyoung. Sunny in a car because she hasn't been in the limelight much? Yuri is a... model? and Sooyoung also an actress? the point is it's showing how successful our girls have been on their own.

Sunny appears on a lot of TVs at one point in the MV so I think it's representing her involvement in TV programmes. As for Yuri, I think it's just showing how she's still a popular celebrity - being photographed for a photoshoot. For Sooyoung, it's showing her as an actress as well.

Well said my guy. I couldn't realised what I was watching when the mv came out. After 5 years of waiting it looked weird but now that I listened to the album 100 times I know it's real. We are not being cloned. It really happened. The queens found a way to make this happen and I can't be more thankful. I've been a SONE for almost 10 years now and I'm 22. Yeah exactly, half of my life I've know them. I grew up with them. I thought I was going to cry before the mv but like I said earlier my brain was blank. I couldn't proceed what I was watching! It was a very weird feeling!

I cried throughout the first time I watched the M/V and I still get a little tearful watching it and listening to the album.
Couldn't agree more with Dylan. TRUE, this comeback somehow brings a lot of weird emotions to SONE. We are happy because they're coming back as a whole, but at the other side we still can't process it well that it's really happening. This song is obviously special for us, we don’t care if they get likes or get many listers. We know that they dedicate this comeback for us the fans. For me this comeback means so much to me, I’m not a fan since they debuted, I joined the fandom when I was 15, I’m 21 now and honestly they’re music just makes me so happy to be alive, to be their fan. I've also been a SONE since 2010! I had pretty much the same mindset as you, I felt like they'd never comeback as a full group, and my brain had already accepted that as fact. The first time I watched the MV, I just bawled my eyes out. I still cry a little when I watch the MV even though it's been like 4 days, can't even listen to it without tearing up. I'm just so god damn happy they're back!

This comeback made me cry, been a SONE for a decade and this literally means the world to me, the album has been on repeat since it came out paper plane is my favorite I think but the bridge in you better run is standout, I wasn't sure about the song at first either but I would listen to the song again and again just for that bridge because Tiffany sounds insane but I've grown to like it now, I'm obsessed. I felt like a party with lucky like that, I felt like femme fatale during villain, a model during freedom, beach night vibes in summer nights, and a sobbing child in paper planes. I think I love this album more that lion heart and I honestly can't stop listening to it😭😭
What you said at the beginning about being thankfull and loving GG really touched me. I'm not a Sone but I literally knew K-Pop because of them, in 2010 with Hoot. All this journey was thanks to THEM. And they are in a special place in my heart after all.
