I have emailed Van Der Moon with an issue with the same max organiser. There isn’t a lot of metal to fix onto on the upper section, not nearly enough for all the holes they suggest fixing into. Seems the rivets will be placed either too close to an edge or on a curve. Did you find that? I know you mentioned “not enough meat to fix to” but you still fixed it all up. I’m just worried because when lined up (without any carpet or extra material on top of the metal of the door) i don’t trust the holes are going to hit / fix enough.
Where I have fixed mine in the video there is still enough to hold it solid with stuff packed in. I do think vandermoon should include the little brackets to screw into the window edges as this will add piece of mind, but still good with out.
@@AXISUK Thanks for that. For such an expensive item (great qualify of course) you would think some additional assitance/guidance on fixing would be included. What did you use to fix it, they recommend rivnuts which is my concern as some koi the holes are on a bend and therefore will be a nightmare to attach rivets to straight on. Concerned that if I use one of the non recommended methods, screws for example, should something happen and they fail (I have young kids so who know what they may decide to climb on haha) I'll have nothing to stand on as used the non recommended fixings if you get my drift.
@@chrisglebocki1622 vander show you 3 options for fitting. Rivnuts, rivets or self tapping screws. The later I used as exactly what you pointed out with the curves would be a mer to try rivnut. They are absolutely solid in my van and even if you used rivnuts, I don’t think it would be stronge enough for a child’s ladder 🤣.

Great storage solution, though you may have created a condensation trap by closing in your window. 🤔
There is a small gap around the window, hence why I couldn’t use any fixings around that edge.
