As an absolute Takemitsu fanatic and Musicologist, this is one of the very finest performances of this I have seen. Thank you very much indeed! What a treat to follow the score and listen to this performance :)
Magnific !! Here, music holds the middle between material nature and intellectual nature: it can strip love of its earthly crust, or give a body to the angel according to the disposition of the listener, his chords are thoughts or caresses 🦤
The instruments are the same than in an sonata of Debussy. Takemitsu, who has been influencd a lot by Debussy, made obviously the choice by purpose. But of course his writing is quite different from "the model". We retrieve these oniric pieces that Takemitsu loves to write and to offer to us. It is interesting to hear to that piece trying to gresp its architecture. It evidences a mix of rigour and fantasy, with recurring motives and modal developments which are quite typical of the oniric pieces of the author. The flute often leads to such a writing: heear 'I hear the water running', for flute and orchestra.
I first heard music by Toru Takemitsu maybe 5 years ago. Much of it, like this compostion, has a feeling of the quiet in a wild setting with brooks and wind stirring through trees (as the title of this work implies). I found it to be wonderful music for writing poetry. This composition is new to me, so I thank you for posting it.
And this is why I listen to something by the Ensemble every day. My soul requires the beauty of this music. Bravo !
Bravo Ensamble Intercomporain... Beautiful piece by the master Takemitsu.
One of my favorite Takemitsu works. Merci!

Indeed, Takemitsu stated this piece "Exists in the same sound world" as the Debussy Sonata, and also quotes Debussy's trio in the piece.
Marvelous!
Beautifully played; the composition flows so well when played with this attention to detail.
Beautiful music of two cultures, Japan and Europe. Fascinating.
a beautiful piece from Master Takemitsu, flawlessly executed to boot!
amazing piece and superb perfomance. thanks. Takemitsu in small ensemble he totally expresses his art and grace

Thank you! Beautiful!
It quietens the soul while creating images that travel the imagination. Beautiful performance.
Such a delicate piece of music.
Juste génial
Enchanting.
-- Très belle composition, fluide, équilibrée. --
Beautiful composition. I love Takemitsu's music. The performers were amazing.
A very beautiful piece, wistful and thoughtful. Reminiscent of Debussy in some ways.
It’s so pretty

Elegant!
Takemitsu is one of my most beloved composers from the second part of XX Century, I think that there is no work by him that I don´t like.
Wow,is there any great piece of contemporary music that Sophie Cherrier hasn't played to perfection?
Excelent Work!
Thanks ! It's a great piece.
Is there any connection between music of Takemitsu and Proust novel?
Where can I buy a digital version of the score? I want to analyze it.
I'd give a lot to know what that persistent motive meant for him-it appears in a lot of his pieces. Idee fixé.
POR AHI SONO PRELUDIO A LA SIESTA DE UN FAUNO NO?
