The kind of feature people will use once or twice and then never use again once the tedious novelty of it has worn off. It really just repackages features already in the game, not a feature that really improves gameplay

_Might_ be useful for: - Players who change club a lot - Players who play so infrequently they forget who's who when they load up saves - Players who suffer from amnesia ...otherwise, it's development time wasted on bells and whistles that could have been invested in fixing set pieces, international management or any other area badly needing attention.
I agree, if you really wanted to you could achieve a very basic version of the squad planner using the squad depth screen already. The only benefit of the squad planner is the additional years + the shortlist but I personally don't see those additions as useful ones for me.

Is there is a way for locking a particular player in starting 11 like for example i want a young dm to be the part for my team selections everytime when i click quick pick so that i can give him maximum game time for his development

question: on squad planner, if you remove a player from a position how can you add him back to the same position … ex if you wanted to return Ted Bishop to the position you ”erased” him from, how would you do it?
I barely used it. I still to my note pad method, However the squad view with current best and future best is handy. However.....I've reached the end of season 1 with my foggia side and the squad planner is barely useable. For some reason it includes about 2382323232322 players that I firstly don't recall ever adding to the squad planner, havent been on trial etc, an for the most part are like 37-44 years old strangely and obviously half a star at best. The processing just to load the squad planner up is ridiculous. Worst of all the only way to remove these players from the look of it is the individually go through each player, in each position, in each formation and hit the - icon. I've given up. Shame. Is there something obvious i'm missing? Confused why these players even make my squad planner as it is, an certainly don't recall scouting them. In fact I intetionally scout 28 years old as max age for the most part.
Up the fucking IMPS 😍 We’re absolutely stacked in MC this season. That’s rather a lot of wasted real estate on the screen without the columns being customisable.
Positive development. It's going to need a bit of tweaking though. I'd like an option to allow players whose contracts are currently due to expire to be shown rather than them just being omitted because their current deal is up before next season. Sometimes a player can still potentially be very much in your plans but you are holding off on a new deal for one reason of another. Unless you can confirm that's already an option under filter?
I agree, I'd like for them to perhaps be shown in Red for the first season they're out of contract, make it that more visually obvious that player isn't there next season. You can actually add a player out of contract to the next season, but there's nothing about it that indicates they're out of contract.

Me personally this is such a good thing. I love the integration of the scouting and the planner. Also the interface looks nice and a bit refreshed.
This is 100% something I've needed, the amount of saves I do where I end up with 6 strikers because I didn't plan well is astonishing.
I think it will become more handy than people initially think!

How do you view trial players in squad planner?
