sam with 15 of these in a trolley asking the shop owner "please sir can I have some more"
I love how you have the time, ability and space for this shit. Awesome, you either get it or you don’t. I’m in 😎
And THAT right there my friend, is Punk Rock
set the controls to the heart of the sun
Tibetan bowls and the healing frequencies produced by them are brought to mind by these B&K oscillators. Very beautiful and profound if you're in the right mood.
I'd love a 10 hour video of this... for the meditating and sleepings
And a fat one.
Watching a soundsmith is both beautiful and perplexing in a nice way.
Lol soundsmith. 😂
These are some tasty frequencies!
1:00 love that look at the camera like "phwoar that's a good sound" :D
I was laying and listening. This was queued next. I didn't intend to sleep. But I fell into a tremendously deep, dream-filled sleep. More please.
Same here, fell asleep on the couch, verry relaxing.
I put this on while on a treadmill for its duration thinking a beat would kick in at some point, it never did. Strangest treadmill session ive had in a while.
Watch out. Monsters. Monsters from the Id !!
Hours of my life swam by, and the universe unfolded, and I checked my phone, and I was only halfway through this lush drone 😅
I feel the urge to add clips from late 50s sci-fi B movies to this.
I think it’s incredible that this is just the fodder you throw on TH-cam. You could have published this as an EP and I’d be the first one in line.
Great stuff as always❤️🤘🏻
In the 1970s maybe ?
Check out the drone music of Éliane Radigue, e.g. 'Trilogie de la Mort'
Collected works of Ellsie Marie Pade. Similar era. Maybe skip the "Faust" tracks unless you want a bit of vintage atonal horror frequencies.
@@stuartchapman5171 New to me. Many thanks!
This is the kind of sounds I would like to listen after midnight.
Need more cowbell ;)
...and Theremin!
And more #NightmareFuel tones too. I be walking along a road, in a dream, and these sounds will be playing as the tornadoes start swirling about.
This reminded me of so many 70's and 80's sci-fi TV shows
Awesome job Sam, they sound great. I really enjoyed listening to this through headphones. I can't imagine my neighbours would be as appreciative, but trippy drones are right up my street.
I think this episode was dedicated to @Hainbach 😊
Needs more click percussion and less tones.

I just love the look of the dials and the really crisp numbering on them
This is the real deal!
"If everything's ready on the dark side of the moon... play the 5 tones".
I could listen to this all day.
You Sir are my favorite mad scientist / genius - brilliant!
Thank you so much for this!
You, Hainbach and Soaring tortoise should do a live set on TH-cam.
This is exactly what I wanted to hear today. Thanks Sam!
I love them noisy pots
That was therapeutic. Thankyou.
Remarkably soothing...
i literally just put the video on over my speakers, sat down in the middle of my room and solved some sudokus in my old sudoku book. thank you so much for this video
Bruel & Kjaers to relax and study to
i am mesmerized. outstanding, as always 💖
The sound of these is just outstanding
Pure bliss 🙏
Love this!!!! I could listen to this for hours!!!!! 😀❤️
WONDERFUL SOUNDSCAPES SAM !!! LOVE IT:::
Brilliantly beautiful orchestration.
Captivating and inspiring 👍
it was a kind of healing, feel refreshed!
There's a new procedurally generated radio station out there called Drift Conditions that this would be perfect for
Strangely hypnotic
It takes control of your brain I think we got a lot of mysteries to solve in regards to the human brain waves and neurological receptors
I used a fair bit of B&K kit at my last job, we even had a company rep visit to explain a number of details we had questions about, regarding calibration of their standard "artificial pinnae" for validation testing.
This is absolutely perfect Sam, it’s getting right through to my bones and chilling them right down. Can you put this on Spotify as well please so I can add it to my relax playlist? And please record more of this whenever you have the time, I can listen to hours of this while relaxing.
Delia Derbyshire is smiling down on you
more likely she would be going "why you messing with that old crap still" haha
@@LOOKMUMNOCOMPUTER no she would be proud of you
chill to the max 👍
A blessing in sonic form.😍
Thankyou!
OMD Maid of Orleans, the start of it springs to mind !
excellent
put me right into a trance
Wow ...Just WOW !
Some people need everything to be a certain way before they will even start, and you are like lets plug this in and see what happens.
You know this type of stuff is either, you like it or not. Cuz the second I heard that lovely buzz a big old smile crept across my face.
Sounds like heaven ❤
I need to smell the room.
My electronics lab has that lovely tube radio equipment smell, along with the faint glow of filaments glowing through the case ventilation holes. I can't say how many oscillators I have, but they go from sub audible to over a few GHz, for testing electronics I buy to play with, now that I am retired!
Some really lovely tones and hypnotic blending going on in this. Aaaaaaaand it's given me an idea for something with my own synth collection (unlikely to sound as beefy as this lot, though)
That was a meditation. Thanks. Needed it😀🤘😎👍
Amazing. Love it. OMG. Ambient Works Vol. Sam
STONE IN FOCUS!
Yesss! Play those googley eyes!!
Absolutely love this.. and the drama at the 19 min mark. Very nice. ❤
Can I dream of a 8 hour version of this? 😍
IFYKYK
nice sensitive ... nice to hear this side of you
Louis and Bebe would be proud!
Have you ever explored shortwave Radio? Whilst carefully scanning through the bands you will quite often find strange and hypnotic sound anomalies floating through the frequencies reminiscent to the sounds that you are making here. I wonder if it is possible to amalgamate the two and create a haunting yet pleasing sound harmonisation. Worth a thought!
! waow ! Great perform, full of beauty, thank's for that. Someday, i hope to ear another original piece from the deep stomach of your monster oscilliator... and congratulations for your singular way to do sound.
I had couple of these about 15 years ago and used to do exactly the same thing with a few other test equipment oscillators. I had a white noise generator too which I had swishing away though a phaser in the background. I can’t express how heavy the B&K beat frequency oscillators actually are. They weigh a ton!
I'm watching this before bed. If I hear any of the harsher #NightmareFuel tones in my dreams, I'm gonna be upset tomorrow. 😐😑😐😑😐....... 😂
Kind of like an organ. I love it.
Nice!
A very touching tribute to emotions translated to soundscapes. Philip Glass would be proud of you and I, for one, appreciated this poetic moment very much. Thanks Sam :)
Beautiful. Reminiscent of Eliane Radigue. I could listen to this for hours. I mean, I will. haha
An hour? I would do those long sound therapy videos with this.
Did you know, that on the left side of generators (looking at the front) is hole, where you can connect shaft, which can externally regulate frequency of generator? 😎😎
Yep
It's cool! There is a vid controlling one with a stepper motor on my vids somewhere. Ultimately decided it just complicated everything and sometimes just gotta enjoy em simple
The pitch adjustments are so delightfully fine. I say make a score of this and have it played by string players. The two together would be mint
WOOOOOOOMMMMMMM ☺️
I see Sam doing a series of ambient gigs with just a van full of oscillators, a few effects pedals and a mixing desk. Maybe throw in an analogue sequencer for good measure. Large venues where everyone can lie on the floor and watch slowly changing fractal projections 😃
Not my thing but I know plenty of people who would love it.
Or is it the ultimate horror sci-fi sound track generator?
Insanely atmospheric, could be used for film making or even a Pink Floyd type intro so many orgasmic sounds going on really pernitrates your brain. Studios needing this kind of work should rent this out. Thanks for showcasing this amazing machine
such warm elegant tones...............and damn, that looks like the old Studiomaster mixer I had in the late 70's...........................
It might be who knows
sounds like it (kidding)..............so great to get to experience this....thanks....masterfully presented
Yeah!
I wouldn't be surprised if Johnny Greenwood dropped in the museum to have a listen. Very cool.
Just... Emotional.... Man.
old skool doctor who
You hum it and i'll play it !
Amazing as replacement soundtrack for "Forbidden Planet" (1956) last night. Somehow syncs perfectly to every scene and the Bruel & Kjaer's look like they were taken straight from the film. Have you done live performance to silent films? (thinking Metropolis ...)
I liked this video before they warmed up.
Sam more please! You look great like the controller at a mad retro power facility! 👊😎👍
Like Spock and McCoy and ancillary crew have beamed down to a labyrinth of glowing giant crystal rocks in answer to a cosmic call.
Are you experimenting with us? This is your new evil mind control machine! 😊
Hypnotise me Doctor!
Shame I don’t live anyway near Kent. I’d love to try this!
Love this
I can say i have 5.1 and it sounds very good :) thx
Ooh!
Check out 'Silver Apples' everyone
Every now again this made my tinitus less annoying.
Watching the squigglies dance on the FFT app on my phone.
Brüel & Kjær
Very ethereal like Brian Eno meets Robert Fripp
Ths video confused my tinnitus.
In a good way.
Wow… this is a synth that I would build if I could!
You can!
hey sam. i have a great idea, get a trashy mixer and connect some kinda keyboard to the solo switches
That very last minute... It was getting very 'Delia'. I could listen to that for much longer, just pulsing away...
I love this stuff. Reminds me of Silver Apples, or Jimmy Page’s Lucifer Rising drones.
That was great. It would be amazing live through a punishingly loud PA, Sunn0))) kind of levels.
Reminds me of La Monte Young's Dream House Installation in NYC
