Try what exactly? Is it try to be dreadful and relegate teams that you manage? Rooney is just an awful and clueless manager who gets by on his name only.
Birmingham a tough job? We'd recently had new owners with £££, we were sat in the play-offs, and he came in on the back of two great wins (4-1 vs Huddersfield and 3-1 vs West Brom). He instantly ripped everything up; changed formation, style, personnel, and we torpedoed down the league at a rate of knots. He blamed the players for not being good enough and the fans for not accepting him. He still blames the latter in interviews. The fans certainly didn't want to accept 2 wins in 15 games and being near the relegation zone after a really positive start. I like Wayne and I hope he can find his feet in management, but he needs to surround himself with some really good people. And there's no doubt about it, he had an absolute stinker at Birmingham.
Lots of lower league teams have to travel long distances , they leave their family at home also . Not of that matters ordinarily. Some players cannot manage or coach .
smh how can it be Wayne’s last chance haha proper nonsense. Rooney will last cause he doesn’t think hes to good for lower leagues unlike Gerrard and Lampard
I know the guy isn’t even 40 yet, if he has a passion for management he’s barely getting started, his success and failures are just amplified because of who he is, if you go back through history i’m sure many managers who didn’t hit the ground running straight away developed into good managers through gaining experience, we also live in this heavily ADHD world now whereby if you don’t achieve something within 5 minutes you’re for the scrap heap when in reality thats not how you achieve anything, we can’t all be pep guardiola.
Be honest Talksport Rooney needs his thinking done for him. As a pundit he doesn't come across as somebody with his own brain and trots out a narrative. If it doesn't work out, there's a pundit place or one with the bum chums at Neville HQ.
This is a good chance for Rooney to prove he can do it. As he's actually had a proper chance to mold something, instead of the idiotic choices he made with Blues last season. You don't jump into a role, and try to flip everything that was WORKING. That's why it went downhill for Blues, and why this could hit differently. If Plymouth are down bottom of the table however come near Xmas. Well, wouldn't surprise me to see him gone.
One of the best players ever but one of the worst managers ever! It's not even worse bringing him in for his name power because you're almost guaranteed relegation he's utterly clueless
Hes failed. Thats the worst ive ever seen plymouth play and ive been watching em 20 years... You cant play tactical football just cause your managers got a big name
Yer right about that Ash 🤔. Can't blame him 100% though did you count how many times Argyle gave the ball away or was your calculator not on hand? Can't blame Rooney for that 🤔
@tedbartlettvideochannel5740 to a0n extent you blame the manager for not drilling the basics. Hopefully it's just early season rust but that looked like England.. a bunch of players putting in effort and little else
I gotta give credit, Rooney jumps into any job. He will go into the worst situations and at least try.
Birmingham was a good situation and he was dreadful. He is a terrible manager
Try what exactly? Is it try to be dreadful and relegate teams that you manage? Rooney is just an awful and clueless manager who gets by on his name only.
Only problem is he is clueless as a manager
If he fails here, he won’t even get a job on football manager
He’s Wayne Rooney
In McDonald's 😂
no if about it. 4-0 defeat first game of the season..
Rooney is never going to be a good manager. If he was serious he would of been an assistant manager or managed a youth side first.

Tony Cascarino, the poor man's Matt Le Tissier.
Le Tissier is tye poor man's David Icke
@@akerfeldt4068 Good one. 🙄
Traveling is not an excuse
Plymouth managed from leauge 2 then leauge 1
It's the fact that championship is the hardest competition that's what it is

Championship isn't lower league better standard then Saudi, Rooney has been absolutely horrendous at this "low level"
Such a good point! He loves football and I rate he’s trying to crack it.
Well Gerrard clearly doesn’t think that as he manages in Saudi, which is far inferior to the championship

@@Radford999 Gerrard has gone for the money hahaha give it a rest lad

In fairness to Rooney Sheffield wednesday are a better side than Plymouth
Rooney’s better prepare for a gig at Talksport, can’t see him evolve as a decent manager

They looked clueless against Wednesday, got smashed.
He’s a great communicator? What? I’m sorry but his press conferences are painfully dull
Rooney going to get Plymouth relegated. Also he has fake hairline and a fake beard. Clearly a very insecure person.

And failed already, watch today's game. PAFC fan, really want Rooney to be sacked already, our club deserves more.
@leonthompson3433 Are Exeter City bigger?
Same that's the worst I've seen plymouth play in over 20 years
@SeriousBartYT not bigger but currently better. Until Rooney leaves anyone would beat us. Train a team of dogs and they'd be more tactically aware
4 nil first game. Rooney out.
Well, it didn't take erm, long for the erm, 'Rooney Effect' to make a difference.
Would Neville hire him for Salford?

It will all go pear shaped. Rooney just isn’t a good communicator, and has shown no management talent. He’ll be gone by Christmas
Rooney will be gone by the end of September. Some other idiot will sign him up again on the off chance.
He’ll fail here. He’s not a coach or good manager. Look at his track record.
He's not very bright, being a player is different it's all training and muscle memory.
I hope he never manages man united in the future.
4-0 😂😂😂😂😂
WAWAWAWAWAWAW
Rooney is like lampard will never make it as a manager who understands that granny snatcher
The excuses have come in from TalkSport.
