Atleast they are making some improvement but along way to go before i grade with them again. Especially concerning how the customer service is still dogshite, and reopening services when people who subbed the day it opened still havent gotten cards back or near cards back is bit of downer
Making the improvements is a step in the right direction, I think when you start off setting the standards so high in the quality of the cases but then fail to deliver that, your trust relationship with clients is going to suffer. I hope they do continually improve and reach their goal of setting a UK standard.
I feel like people were quick to judge Ace Grading but totally ignore the fact almost every BGS and PSA slab also has the same joining marks. I don't think I've ever had a PSA slab that doesn't have white marks on multiple points.
@@Mattculli It seems a bit strange that we're in a time where people focus more on how a case looks than how the actual card looks 😅 I guess part of it is just how people like to complain about something. Thanks for addressing this. I think some people did need to realise that it's pretty common.
@@pokehudd it's ridiculous hearing grown men cry about the case so much when PSA BGS CGC literally all have the same issues. Not talking about Matt in this video just what I have heard from some others.
Nice to see both the launch and revised slabs side-by-side. Considering they're a brand new company, its clear they're working hard to improve and in time i'm confident they'll be a real contender. Especially with plans to expand overseas... I have 5 cards in with them at the minute, just in time for the new style slabs
I just got my premier subs back and can say for sure that the quality is awesome! I personally don't think the slight roughness on the bottom is an issue and the rare glue mark here and there is not a deal breaker, its expected for a clear case in my opinion. However, I do believe that they are WAY too stubborn about giving out 10s, which is a huge turn off as what they say on their website about a 10 being able to have a tiny defect doesn't seem to be true. Literally sent all my alt art eevees that were handpicked and still only got 9s. Overall, still most prromising grading service in UK alongside Majesty I think
Did they change the cases again? I seen on ebay ace cards that dont have their logo on the bottom middle. I just bought a mew ex celebrations grade 10, from Canada so never heard of ace before.
Excellent video 👏. I have a positive outlook regarding Ace Grading and their Slabs. There's been some terribly negative reviews surrounding them as of recent and most of them are what I see as non valid regarding small bubbles or blemishes, as you shown yourself that can be expected from any company. I do agree the bottom if the Slabs looked pretty rough for some peoples returns but it's great to see they are rectifying that, I think that when they go away with the launch edition logo along with making changes to way the bottom is manufactured then they are onto a winner. I have my prized card in a launch edition Ace slab and I must say I love it and wouldn't want it in any other case, it really pops and that's with a standard label.
I'm fairly new to grading so I'm still weighing up my options. I'd love to get some of my celebrations stuff graded with Ace but I just can't justify paying for the premier+ tiers. If by some miracle, they are able to reopen the bulk or standard tiers, I might try a submission with them but otherwise I might try looking towards MGC. As for the labels, I really like the designs of the Ace labels but it feels that on some of the cards, the text and the grade just merge into the background because its white on white. It looks like some of the newer ones might move away from this but Celebrations has it bad. The Charizard one looks terrible for that reason. It'll be interesting to maybe revisit them in 6 months time to see them as a more mature company, they certainly seem like they're taking feedback on board and trying their best to find the solutions that work for them
Keep checking. It's based on allocation, so they automatically get opened back up depending on how many submissions they have left to grade. Once they go below a certain level, they open up certain tiers again. Their standard tiers had slots available last week, but since have closed again.
@@muckersTGN Oh they had slots open last week? Nice! I've been checking fairly frequently but I've not seen anything below premier open up so I must have just missed it 😅
@@Swindy I also missed out on standard, but that's because I couldn't decide what cards to send lol. I faffed about for an hour or so because I was busy, and in that time they had gone. So I just picked my two best 10 contenders and went with Premier (£30/each)
I put my submission in pretty confident, read some scathing reviews on instagram, and saw a couple of youtube videos and suddenly got really nervous. I expected garbage. But I got them back last week and I'm so happy with everything. Slab quality, build, feel, label design, and fair grades. Got my second sub in now. They've knocked Pokegrade (still good) off my top spot of favourite UK graders. Maybe these issues we've heard a lot about are early days teething problems. They mostly seem to be from those who subbed at launch/around launch.
They may well be BUT if you don’t want to wait years and spend a fortune and also don’t care about making money then no reason not to use them if you like the slab ✌️
Only just come across your channel, subbed liked and the bell is on ring ring. I graded with get graded and was really put off grading, took three times as long as it should lost my cards twice and disappointing grades(but I’m no grader) think I’m going to use ace though
I dont get the hate new grading companies get, i mean yea it doesnt add much price on the cards, but that will eventually come since its a new company. PSA, Beckett had to start one place aswell. give them some time.
@@Mattculli yea, i mean people usually grade their card for value, but why should the tp 3 grading companys have monopoly on the grading? let the new guy have a chance aswell..
@@Mattculli and why should europeans send in their card to the US and wait almost 2 years to get their card back because it adds value to them. would be much better to have a yop tier card grading company in EU. But some people are afraid of new things so they always will find flaws in it
From what Ive seen Ace grading are definitely not offering a premium service- you are spot on the changes are minimal at best-those Ace labels are so basic, disappointing! You will be dead before you can even grade 10% of your collection lol. Get off this dumb psa hype. We need real collectors back. Not investors. Let the new companies succeed and support them.
