***** To my credit: I knew Aaron Rodgers was going to be better than Alex Smith...my personal opinion: we needed to draft a offensive lineman with the 1st pick in 2005.....
BigdogH201 Id take Aaron Rodgers over any O-lineman in that draft. Sorry. But then again, he was Farve's backup for like what 4 years? So he learned a lot whereas AS was just thrown into the fire lol.
***** True.....coach Nolan realized Aaron Rodgers had a attitude problem and didnt pick him. The weakness of the worst 49ers team ever (2004) was the offensive line (imao). Ken Dorsey and Tim Ratty literally were getting sacked within three seconds of the possession.......
Damn I'm glad he didn't go first overall and landed in Green Bay. Honestly though, Rogers was good in college but I think being under Farve for those few years helped him become an even better player then he would have somewhere else. He basically got prepped by one of the NFL greats. It sucks he lost those few first years of playing but I think he will be able to play longer because his body didn't get abused early on, plus getting knowledge from Farve definitely helped his game.
+30spooln Favre never 'prepped' him. Brett himself said I am not here to train or show the ropes to anyone, I am here to be a starter and win. Aaron bored witnessed to how he managed the line and, read defenses and studied his mannerisms (i.e. shovel passes a la Brett).
Definitely. I think it's more so the fact that the gb staff knew more than favre himself. Still I do NOT believe he'd be an all time great had he gone tosf. I'm sure he would've been great but all time? That takes a particular set of circumstances. And lucky for him he's one of those lucky few
@@Cars0n01 did you watch the games? The guy is just average at best when the game is on the line and it was up to the QB position to make something happen...it will happen in NY as well :)

Good lord, the Mitsubishi arm strength competition. How ridiculous is that? When I go to the toilet, I don't take part in the Pepsi wiping my arse challenge.
DAMN..this is some great video here for a variety of reason... 1) you have Aaron Rodgers and Marisa Miller being REAL FRIENDLY towards each other as a lot of you pointed out (lol), I wouldn't be surprised if she and Aaron hooked up soon after so they could "watch some movies"!! 2) Aaron Rodgers acknowledges his mother, those of us who follow the NFL/Rodgers career know why that's notable 3) the San Francisco 49ers were the Projected Team for Rodgers. Something that has been overlooked by a lot of you is at 2:58 Bill's Weakness for Aaron Rodgers was "PAC-10 JINX? (HARRINGTON, PALMER)." He seems to be saying that Oregon QB Joey Harrington and USC QB Carson Palmer failed to live up to expectations! At the time this event took place (February or March 2005??) Harrington had just completed his third season and Palmer his second, and they were still works in progress. Palmer went on to become very good, Harrington did not. Did Harrington and Palmer's struggles as young QB's from the same conference as Rodgers, play any role in Rodgers slipping to 24 in the 2005 draft? Another interesting question here is...If San Francisco did pick Aaron Rodgers first, how would his career have played out. Would he have been elite right out of the gate and possibly broken every passing record because he started playing in 2005 instead of 2008? Or would he have had a similar fate to Alex Smith who was thrown into the wolves as a rookie in 2005 and spent about 4 seasons really struggling?
