So this is embarrassing. As some of you may know today sony has gone and forced the PSN account requirement for Helldivers 2. This is troubling as creating a PSN account is restricted in a lot more countries than helldivers 2 was available in. As a result you can now get a refund for Helldivers 2 regardless of your playtime on steam. I employ you to check out if you're able to create a PSN account and if not get your refund or just get a refund as this is kind of fucked for a company to do. Probably going to be making a video about this later so see ya guys
This is the first game in a very long time where I actually enjoy playing with strangers.
Me too, and after a few very hard Missions with the same squad, you become more than Strangers. You become Brothers in Arms 😉🤗

I love hopping into games 7 and lower and just sticking with the host just covering him, giving fire support. As much as it is tempting to run off to the side and just be more efficient and grabbing objectives separately I try to get him to spot targets so I can take them out
Arrowhead really put the "Service" in Live Service

They also put the "live" in live service: random weapon additions, constant storyline updates, and new items dropping every month.
This is the first shooter in years that I’ve gotten into. I grew up with Halo, Battlefield, and COD but they changed over the years.

I played online games since Ultima online launch. I played a lot of different games over the years. This is the perfect game for right now. It fits. It's beautiful. It's buggy but improving. Most importantly, it's FUN. It just doesn't feel like another job that I also have to have another job to get money to "play" my other job that I do to take a break from my other job. Even in death, I got the giggles. Community has been way better than expected. Yes, I have had a couple bad experiences with ego driven strangers, but it's a drop in the bucket when compared to the great awesome adventures I've had and am having with the wonderful "friends" I made along the way. Met some of the most helpful and understanding people on helldivers & it's been the rule, not the exception.
Arguably the best game of the 2020s I’ve played so far.
I loved HD1 so I pre-ordered HD2. Arrowhead did an amazing job improving everything about the original. My favorite thing about the game is that you can jump in anytime and have fun. The community in general is great. I’ve made so many new friends. I’ve played since launch and am only level 42. Just playing a couple hours here and there a few days a week and loving it. I look forward every day to having some time to jump in. My only complaint is that players should use their mic more. The in game comms is OK. But running around chasing nav points is only so much fun. The game shines when the team is laughing together when crazy stuff happens. Unmute or get a mic. Democracy depends on having fun!! The game is not meant to be so serious. Go play PvP if that’s your need.
Bg3 is to Helldivers 2, as Barbie is to Oppenheimer. Democracy for all! The common factor was passion and integrity to an artistic vision.
I would even go as far and say its the best game since GTA 5, not counting in games like mw2, bo2, they were good and fun, but nothing compared to this masterpiece. I wasnt ever a big halo guy, but when I got my first xbox 360 with 16 it was the game that was besides it, and I remember being so immerced in the game, I LOVED IT.
I feel exactly like my 16 year old self with Helldivers 2. I kiss their feet for this game. Now level 35 in 55 hours, 1 week of gaming. And I still enjoy it.
Best game since Baldur's Gate 3 which was the best game since... forever ( 2010s ).
Game is so good that when I bought it for the second time for the PS5 and later found out there's no cross progression, I didn't even get mad.
I'm about 40 hours in and playing on hard or challenging modes frequently, but also I like to lower the difficulty to easy or trivial and go solo when I just want to shoot some bugs.
The companion apps are great too. I keep opening them to keep an eye on how the major orders and war in general are going.
PS5 doesn't have half the issues reported on PC... So I guess we are getting a better product. I've just opened up all the current war bonds and love the mix and match but I wish there was true customisation where we could design our own Helldiver but I guess that would be impossible on a live service game.
The game is also £35 in the UK on PS store which is a steal for the amount of fun Ive had so far.
Best $40+tax I’ve ever spent on a game. Right up there with Lethal Company being so cheap (I forgot how much). Glad we’re getting so many games that are challenging huge publishers.
The game is $40 in the U.S but considering games like COD are almost $70 after tax. Its a nice change

It was more of a statement, last game I really enjoyed playing was cyberpunk which came out in 2020. However even though I haven’t played them 2022 had great games like god of war ragnarok and Elden ring which is why I settled for that year

I wish they would make a base armor layer with ability’s and a backpack scooter.
The anticheat is actually pretty good, i had some errors once but its probably some corrupted files or anything on your system.
Because: Even things like AHK are blocked by this anticheat which is pretty good, otherwise pc players would macro their combinations on hotkeys
Maybe ahk is blocked but something like the stream deck software which can fully automate your stratagems isn’t and they can’t block that without getting a bunch of streamers banned. It could just be some files on my computer or something but still annoying
I think the game being coop-only is the big factor here. Sure, anti-cheat and all to not trivialize the game, so more people consider getting super credits for unlocking more warbonds.
BUT... they'd probably have the same issues as any other massively successful competitive game if they ever introduced pvp.
Still a great game obviously.
COD had extinction, aliens fireteam elite is great too, amazing game modes i put 100s of hours in. To me though HD2 is exactly what ive been looking for for years

Im surprised when people say how much it crashes. I wonder if its on the pc end or the game. Because i dont have that problem.
Are you on PlayStation? Cause if so there’s almost no crashes on there on pc thought it’s a whole other situation
@@maxbossman1I'm on playstation and 3 out of 5 games crashed when they released 2 updates, but the last 2 weeks had 1 crash or 2

I have but as I’ve said in a previous reply it doesn’t share the same energy as helldivers. DRG also came out in 2018
Best multiplayer game fs, wouldn’t say best though with the likes of elden ring and many others. Appreciate your opinion though!
For sure, haven’t played Elden ring so I wouldn’t be able to say but I’ve heard great things about it
saying helldivers 2 is the best game since 2022 is a bit of a stretch given the huge success of baldur's gate 3 and how the mainly single player game had more concurrent players than helldivers 2 which is an always online multiplayer game. and considering the disasterous bugs, disconnects, terrible balancing, new updates causing more crash and friend tab not even working, they could've taken a few months more to get the game ready. i'd say this game is definitely far better than most of recent AAA releases, but it's another live service game that gets old very soon.
No It does not. The game is ever changing at a great Pace. Whanever It starts to get stale, something New is added.
It is the best SHOOTER for sure in quite a while. Cant compare It to other genres. I prefer RPG's, so Baldurs gate is more UP my alley. But one isnt better then the other, because they are doing diferent things.
@@OrdemDoGraveto objectively speaking, only things they added are a few weapons that are irrelevant to the meta except for like two, two support weapons (one of which is just inferior machine gun), exo suit that is useless in higher levels and like two new missions thats not very different from others. helldivers 2 is a good game, but it certainly isnt "the best game since 2022". the update pacing only seems fast because other live service games are mostly terrible and there were so little content in the beginning. the problem with live service games like helldivers 2 is that you have to rely on sheer faith that the future updates arent gonna be utter garbage. so far, the only update that really made me feel positive about the game is the balancing for automaton. everything else is just things that should have released from the beginning.

Yes I did. Most people I know don't play RPG's if they do they also play a lot of shooters. Also the fact that on steam 6/10 of the top 10 most played games right now are shooters. only 1 is an RPG. I imagine there are definitely more RPG players on console but xbox and playstation don't provide stats so its hard to know.

But yeah, the steam player numbers can be used as an indicator. But there are a few things to take into account:
A shooter is a game you keep playing. An RPG is a game you usually finish once or a few times and then move on to another RPG. So any one particular game don't retain as much players.

Bro…… the game of the year last year…. Was wayyyyy better than this. Helldivers 2 is a husk compared to bg3. There’s literally like 6-8 variations of missions and maybe 10 planet types….. or so it feels but my point is helldivers is super bare bones so chill out 😭💀 it’s fun till you unlock everything the game has no progression and the whole community thing is cute but it’s honestly pointless when you and 3 other people play the same 6 or if that many missions every night. About as boring as dropping into Fortnite right now….

Push it in the right direction if any. I’m still getting bored of the idea of “new guns and armor once a month” when I use it on the same freaking booboo missions. I’m bored there is nothing to do all my homies are it’s just something to do honestly and that’s why I like it. But it’s by no means the best lol we need to be on Sonys ass because it can definitely be a lot greater but at this rate ima tap out soon
