    Freaking amazing build, bud! I've been wanting to build one of these since I built my foam kayak. Yours is exactly the kind of build I want to do. Thanks for sharing and for putting together a great set of videos.
    I'm sure I'm not alone when I say we'd all love to see another video once you've gotten it out on big water and broken in, maybe a long-term product review of sorts. Again, great job!

      Thanks mate I've been slacking on the editing I've been busy chasing marlin in my kayak they are just about finished so ill be back into the vids really soon I will do a review and a run down of everything I just have to get around to it haha

      I totally get it. It took me damn near 6 or 8 months to get videos posted after I finished my kayak. That's life..lol. Looking forward to seeing them.

    That flood line is sick. Your boat is bad ass. The real test will be the ocean!

      Thanks mate! yea the real test is out in some chop once I've got it all sorted and registered ill find out how it goes

    Could you shove a codder pin through the wheel shafts when they're in the boat so you can leave them in when traveling? Seems like a hassle to shove in the wheels like that. Then you could just pop them out once it's off the truck.

    Howdy from Texas! How many hours roughly did it take you to get to where you’re at now? Love the build and I’m planning to build one similar in the coming weeks! Looking forward to seeing it in action

      Thanks mate it was great to finally get it out probably not alot really i think more grip on the bow is needed it was slippery on the paint i think I'll add something to the clear coat for grip but I have to get it out in the open and open it up and also see how it handles other boats chop and waves but it went really good ill do another test run vid once I've got it all painted

    very nice work you have done . You inspire me to build one can you please send to me the megermente and the tronsen of the engine megermente please thank you

    • @thefishinglair2467
      @thefishinglair2467  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks mate I'm glad I could inspire you
      3.8m long 1m wide down to 910mm at the back the hull side is 850(front) -800 (back)
      And I don't have the transom measurements with me atm but the transom should be built around the motor you get because they can all be a little bit different depending on what brand you go with

    Looks awesome mate, any chance of some approximate dimensions and weight? You’ve sold me on building one now mate

    • @thefishinglair2467
      @thefishinglair2467  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks mate glad I could inspire you to give it a go the dimensions are
      3.8m long the deck is 1m wide up the front and 910 wide at the back and 850-800 wide on the hull side and I haven't got a weight yet but it is heavier then I expected I used more resin then I though and I didn't factor in the weight of all the extra liquids in primer paint and clear coat once I'm all finished ill weight it and make a more detailed vid about all of that info

    Had to be a pretty good feeling getting her out there. What would you have done different looking back? Wider?

    • @thefishinglair2467
      @thefishinglair2467  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yea was very satisfying floating in my hand built boat knowing it all works
      Im not to sure yet if I'd change anything o need to get it out in the open and see how it handles at speed
      And i don't think wider maybe if I was a bigger guy but I wanted to be able to transport it on my roof I think I found a good balance of stability and weight I have to do a few more tests first

    How much do you think you’ve spent on the build I’m intrested in doing one myself?

    • @thefishinglair2467
      @thefishinglair2467  ปีที่แล้ว

      Im not really sure maybe 1.8k-2.3k (aud) I spent more on paint then I planned to but but was roughly 500 on foam and 12-1500 on fiberglass
