In order to calm it down properly you must shoot him until he is “stunned” (a.k.a glowing red and on it’s knee). After that you interact with it using lavender and have it lured back to it’s cell.
Heres some advice for SCP 017: Get the UV Flashlight and stand behind the Whiteboard on the right. Peek out of it and then shoot the Generator. SCP 017 wont be able to see you behind that whiteboard. Once he is gone you can activate the UV Flashlight and you'll be safe.

173 can actually be breached solo if it is towards the back of the cell. You need to go to the far corner of the room that is inbetween the two doors and blink. Then go out and around the corner so it can't see you and open the door to the hallway. Then you go out into the hallway and blink again and scp 173 goes into the hallway. Then it's a matter of running to a pole and blinking to put him somewhere useful.
A little tip: When recontaining 096, even if you have the scrambler goggles, LOOK AWAY from him. The goggles can actually fail, so it’s best to approach him from behind regardless of the situation.

you can actually breach 173 with 1-2 players by opening all doors and looking away at the last door, then coming back or having a friend open the last door and look away.
if you have the cd game pass and you end up losing both your crowbars, you can still make a blow torch through your flashlight, just do the same method (:
SCP 106 has to be the easiest (if your not gonna go to his chamber and [BEEP] with the controls) and [REDACTED] is already [REDACTED]ched 2006 is just annoying cause he transforms if you go near an SCP (or tape changes) SCP-096 has to be the most horrifying to breach, that design man... SCP-939 is med to breach cause he sometimes just chases you forever until you die, SCP-049 Has to be the hardest to breach and easiest cause when hes calm you can just lure him out, but if hes angry those doors are gonna shut on you for no reason SCP-017 Is just super hard without the flashlight, SCP-517 is just cakewalk easyy.
@@GoldKnight126 yo i know this is a little old but i got a few tips for you. for 017, just close the door at the same time u are shooting light thing and run away. by the time 017 teleports out, the uv flashlight will work. also u can lure 049 right outside con x in con // and as the door is closing, shoot him so he gets angry but cant come in cuz door is closed.
Hey for the 173, you said he was easy to contain. He isn’t easy to contain if you turn off the power/coolant pumps. When the lights are out 173 can snap anyone’s neck as no one can see him.
