Indeed a great message: "A leader has to be a good story teller, you have to narrate a story on who is being served by the work we do. We need to also hear from the people who are being served. Think about a situation when you feel good is it when your manager appreciates you on something or is it from a customer/user who appreciates. Of-Course it is your customer."
I am working on promoting within the company I work for, this is very helpful for how I would like to inspire my team. I work at a gym, and it should be easy for me to give examples of how we help people.
It's so interesting how one letter can make a huge difference. Instead of whY, focus on whO. Brilliant how you move the discussion away from an intellectual conversation around purpose to a tangible experience around actual impact.

I showed this to my Project Management students today - great for reinforcing some of the concepts we've been studying in motivating project teams.
Love this!
FANTASTIC! It's not why you do what you do.... it's who you serve.
Yes! Well said. Thanks Andrew!
this was really helpful for finding themes for a team seminar - thanks!

To inspire your team, focus on WHO they help and WHO they inspire. Make those stories clear and easy for them to understand and repeat. Love it!

Very smart talk about a counterintuitive idea about what gets the best work out of the best teams (and what turns all teams into the best teams).
Thanks Laura!

Muy bueno. Creo que casi nadie se plantea, de esa manera, este tema tan complejo y esto puedo abrir mentes.
What is the 369 method?
I got sidetracked lol
Why does this still sounds like corporate jargon?
