      Thanks for the reply. And just a follow up question. I’m trying to decide on a single or tandem axle for my trailer. From what I understand it is not recommended to carry a load heavier than your axle weight. The trailer I’m looking at has an axle weight of 2990 lbs. In your experience do think that would be sufficient for most Junk hauling jobs?

    Have you guys ever had a customer who refused to pay? What would you do in a situation where it’s multiple loads and you’ve already dumped there garbage but they won’t pay for whatever reason? Just curious. Do you guys use contracts or what ? You can’t even return their garbage to them because you already dumped it at the landfill multiple
    Times to finish the job.

    • @SonomaStrong
      @SonomaStrong  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      No we never had this happen, we agree on the price before we start, when we are done we have them look at the area and make sure they are happy with the service, then we get paid before we leave. This is how it often works unless it’s a realtor or a customer that’s not there, then they pay over the phone it is also before we leave.

    Thanks for the video; we're continuing to learn.
    One question: We haven't done a full house clean-out yet, and we're not sure how much more work it will be. Assuming a normal full load price of... say... $500 for a 10 yard haul, how much more might we charge for a full house clean-out? ...an extra $50 per load, $100 per load, $200...?
    Thanks for videos, and tips!

    • @SonomaStrong
      @SonomaStrong  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I would say an extra 50-100 depending on how much you had to fetch things from the closets drawers cabinets etc…

  • @PhilRuybal
    @PhilRuybal 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Question for ya guys! Would you ever consider renting out a roll off and just keeping it at your house and dumping there? Instead of going to the landfill? Or at least for beginners

    • @SonomaStrong
      @SonomaStrong  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It would depend on how far you are from the dump, it may just be easier to go empty the trailer after a few jobs that day, you want to try to not have to touch things twice

      @@SonomaStrong yes a 20ft cargo trailer. We us it for house clean outs for all the big items. We also store big items from small jobs in it. When trailer is not needed. Best $5900 we have spent that has payed for itself over the past 6 months and its a write off for taxes.

    Do you determine the landfill you go to based on material you are hauling or you go to the same landfill?

    • @SonomaStrong
      @SonomaStrong  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      We have not ever had a customer refuse to pay. It’s our policy that if the customer is there we have them look after the job is done and ask them if they are happy and they always are then we take payment at that time.usually before we even go to the dump.
