I've been hooked on the Destroyers since the late 70s. John & Peters, The Main Point, Capitol Theater, Spectrum, Superdome, JFK ... Thanks George, Jeff, Billy, Ron, Hank, Steve, Jim & Buddy
@Blackscorpion1963 and his guitar style is masterful, a true art of The blues masters of old !!! George really latched onto that torch and has carried it with Honor and intensity for a long time,,,,Thank you George !!!
I saw him in June 1978 in Dingwalls in London. He played a couple of sets until quite late, I had to walk home and didn’t get back until well after 3.00 am. Well worth it though, he rocked.
Saw GT & TD here in New Zealand at the Dunedin Town Hall on Sunday 8th December 1985. I was 22 and bulletproof. lol. Typical high octane gig, just good times, no negative energy whatsoever.
Saw George & the Destroyers in Tulsa, OK 🇺🇸 at the Cain’s Ballroom around ‘92. We were standing up close to the stage. Local Tulsa actor Gary Busey (the Buddy Holly Story), proceeded to join George in song singing next to him. Some azz hat from the audience threw a glass beer bottle at his face, cutting him, he left the stage post haste! It sure added to the “ambiance” of the evening, was so darn shocking! Love George’s Boogie Woogie Rock ‘N’ Roll blues style. ❤❤❤
He's still kicking it big to this day. Rocknroll blues doesn't get much better than lonesome George and his Destoyers.!! 😮😊

Great thing about George is he's never ever taken himself too seriously.
