I love how these old whirlpool and Kenmore/Sears washers hat direct drive and their agitator pulled down just everything, even with slow speed. Washers nowadays need ages to turn everything over even once…
Man that machine looks brand new! I do hear the newer drain pump sound as well. Became familiar with it when I replaced it on our previous direct drive in 2011, but I still have the old pump!
I like this agitator better than the one in my Whirlpool. Always liked the low profile look of these. At least to me they do. The Whirlpool agitator is almost ridiculously tall.
I'm sorry to see the old drain pump go. But I understand why it did. I still like that machine, even though I will always like the sound of the older drain pump better than the newer one.
@@tristangardner3889 With the old style drain pump, it makes it very hard to hear the "thumpa thumpa thumpa" noise during the agitation. That pump sounds great on neutral drain, but is very loud the rest of the time. That's why I took it out. OF course, I still have it.
It's not always easy to tell for most people, but musically speaking,I can tell the old pumps have a high-pitched hum in the key of A and the new pumps have an even higher pitched hum in the key of F#.

Good to see this machine back!
And better than ever. Thanks man

Maybe I’ll put it back in. Idk. It just seems like it’s noisy during the agitation. I don’t know maybe it’s just me?
I love these direct drives. I need to add one to my collection. 😁
Go for a Kitchen Aid one if you can.
Based on my observation all of your washers were awesome and they all became my adorable friends 😊
These always do a dependable job. Looks great!
They also sound really good and mines sounds just like this washer

Agreed on WP agitator.

I don't know if I can tell too much of a difference between old and new. They both have that thrumming sound which makes for some good ASMR.

I love that one
If anything ever goes wrong on this washer, get it fixed. DO NOT throw it away! You'll NEVER find another washer as good as this again.
