How pokemon home could change meta? Pokemon getting old moves/abilities from old gens. I believe they will be VGC legal this year since they are still in the dex.
This was definitely needed. I think there are a lot of people interested in VGC but who don’t know how to participate. Knowing how to find premier events around them is the first big step, and TPCi doesn’t advertise that very well
I could never get into the "competetive tutorial teams" that are plastered all around youtube. But these vidros are acutally helping me improve. I might have spent $5 on twitch to join the discord server but lets not worry about that

Pokecal was not mention but probably the best resource for finding local events. You can insert location, get events near you, and it pulls up so much information. It also lets you add directly to your calendar. Feel like that should be a known resource for peope
The timing of this vid is amazing. I've been recently thinking about competing but I tried to look up places where I could compete and despite being in London there are like no local competitions. I feel like if I do want to try and qualify for Worlds which is in London, Id need to like go to America to get enough points.
@@usualblokeluke yeah they had one this month but I'm sure next month they'll open up a new one for march. Just check pokemon website and/or seribii and you can register and compete
Any advice for those without local events? Nothing within 250 miles of me but I’d love to get more involved in the VGC scene, but I don’t want to have to drive 8 hours for an MSS or PC and I’m not sure about a regional if I’ve never played an event before
Make these videos more often. Seemed like there was a big gap in time since the last one. Idk Good work though man. Love your videos. Congrats on your play button btw
Thank you so much for the info. Now I just need to see if I can network and find someone who can tell me about events because I highly doubt there's only one in the next three months like the site is telling me...
I totally get you. No Midseason showdowns, no Premier Challenges, you need to fly over to another country to participate in a Regional... I wish TPC would add more accessible tournaments in the other regions, especially in the Oceania.
I know the feeling! When I lived in Colorado, there was one in town. Now that I'm back in Oklahoma, there nothing near me at all! If tpci was informative about how people could qualify online then I would be a lot more interested in trying.
Huh, this helped me realize that there's a premier challenge in a city really close to me next month, and a regionals within 50 miles from me after that.....
I wish I found this a month ago cuz i missed some locals until I figured out how to find events myself. The CP explanation was very helpful tho because I didn't know how to start planning on getting points
Wolfey, i know its a while after the video and you probably wont read this, but thank you for inspiring me and using "follow me" to show me how to get involved in competitive, last weekend i ended top 8 in my local open event only a month after my first sanctioned event! arigatou senpai!
Ditto Pikachu there are events in California, but the organization and registration with the TO’s has complicated things to where there is only 1 event in SoCal and NorCal a month. Just keep a watch on the event locator. An event should pop up from time to time.
As someone who lives in the East Bay, I actually attended our first SwSh Premier Event in Santa Clara last weekend. Unfortunately that TO is our only active one as of now. This is when her next event will be: www.pokemon.com/us/play-pokemon/pokemon-events/20-02-001276/
Hey I’m hoping this isn’t a stupid question but maybe somebody here could answer me ... I i were to start competing in these premier events. How exactly do CP get tracked/stored ? Eg. How would I prove the amount of points I had if I wanted to enter a higher competition. Thanks
Here's a tip that isn't mentioned, check out r/VGC, they have their own event locater and it organizes by not only country, it also organizes by state. With r/VGC you can also find the TOs for your state and the websites for your state to make finding events easier
