Rudy Gay scored the quietest 22-24 a game in NBA history. So effortless it seemed like he wasn’t even applying himself all the way- and he was still THAT good in the NBA. Even in college you would miss him ( the UConn team had 4 1st round picks in one year) and he would have 25 unforced in the flow of the game and the announcers would be like “Rudy needs to get more involved”

Agree, also worth mentioning that the year prior we had a team that had 3 players averaging 20+ plus points: IT, gay and boogie. Then that worm Pete delassandro decided to trade Isaiah for a bag of peanuts .
Vivek was trying to meddle too much in basketball ops. It was his veto power that got us nik stauskas. Mike Malone did a great job with that group but Vivek had such a hard on to be like the warriors he ordered delassandro to fire Malone.

I love basketball players who can go out and give you anything that you need. Need rebounds? I got you. Need defense? I got you. Inside game? Post up? Triple threat? Pick? Roll? Pop? Outside game? Run the break? Run the offense? Slash game? Drive and kick? Collapse the defense?
    Rudy got you.

I see so many comments saying this is the first time hearing Rudy's voice. He did post game interviews when he played in Memphis. Some of the games were nationally televised.

One thing about Rudy Gay was that when he was in Memphis, you were going to get 19 points-no more, no less. If he got 19 in the first half, he shut it down for the rest of the game. Yes, I know that is not true for the literalists, but it sure felt like it when he was playing in Memphis.

I think Rudy is having some memory issues. During his best season with the Kings, he averaged 21/5.9/3.7
He then averaged 18, then 17 the following years. Dude was always mid with elite talent.

Rudy, Cousins, and Rondo was a solid big three. if it wasn’t for the coaching, they should’ve made the playoffs. Rondo led the league in assists the year he played with. Kings.

As a lifelong Kings fan and a Sacramento native, sad to say with everything he said is true. We were caught in between a dilemma of is this city worth a basketball team or is this city to even more live in. A very sad story happened obviously we all know when the Lakers and Kings played in the 2002 Western Conference final ever since then has been so sad and just down in Sacramento has been the laughing stock of the NBA for many years.. 2022 2023 season turned out great let’s hope it can make it turn for the better as time goes
