One thing I keep thinking is if they mean the process of dying, which varies from horrifyingly painful and slow to painless and with no effort, or being dead, like how living means staying alive (SSTTTAAAAAAAAY ALIIIIVE). Then, it makes more sense because you need things like food, shelter, and water.

It’s definitely true in the film industry where getting hired for projects is survival so you need to keep in contact with people in case they need your help. Now, I’m no military strategist and my military experience is less than none, but I think what’s happening here is that in this case, Washington needed someone “to lighten the load”. Hamilton’s strategies involved other people whom he already knew and trusted were capable of rallying more troops and getting a leg up in the war. And since they were friends, as well as passionate rebels, they would be more than happy to play their part. Plus, when you think about it, one person who knows multiple people with experience in different areas can outweigh someone who has experience in one area.

I know it’s a joke, but... Washington didn’t need a soldier. He needed someone unconventional, brilliant, motivated and persuasive. Hamilton wasn’t afraid to take risks (see the cannon-theft), wouldn’t stand for polite excuses from congress, and wouldn’t need Washington to keep an eye on him while everything else was going on. He could organize everything from accounts to intel, so Washington had all the information at his fingertips without it clogging up his desk. Burr was conventional, polite and cautious, and he would’ve helped the Continental Army lose more slowly... but Hamilton helped them WIN.

I know it’s a joke, but... Washington didn’t need a soldier. He needed someone unconventional, brilliant, motivated and persuasive.
Hamilton wasn’t afraid to
take risks (see the cannon-theft), wouldn’t stand for polite excuses from congress, and wouldn’t need Washington to keep an eye on him while everything else was going on. He could organize everything from accounts to intel, so Washington had all the information at his fingertips without it clogging up his desk.
Burr was conventional, polite and cautious, and he would’ve helped the Continental Army lose more slowly... but Hamilton helped them WIN.

I'm obsessed with your work. I used to see musicals every year with my mom because I played 7 instruments while maintaining my first true love that happened to be music. My body started falling to pieces from a bunch of terminal and non-terminal illnesses the 8 months before this show was released, so this was the only show I wanted to see that I have never gotten the chance to see. This is why I'm obsessed with the film on Disney+, even though it isn't the same experience I know I know, but I'm so grateful to get that experience. That experience led me to you and your work, and THAT is another reason the film is so freaking awesome because you are so freaking awesome! Thank you for doing this.
