Ah man I’m so excited to see this finished, I’ve been trying for ages to make a good starlight but never get there with it. Yours look amazing so far! Like a real fallout city!
Thanks! I have always wanted to build a large town at Starlight (this design has been rattling around in my head for a while 😅) but until now had been unable to really pull it off. Currently still getting the place furnished and decorated, but its getting close to being done and looking forward to be able show the finished tour and share the blueprint 😁
Great to hear you like them, many thanks! Practice really is the key to improving your builds, the more you do the better they will become. I also found watching building streams / videos and then trying to re-create parts I liked and put my own spin on them was really helpful in improving my own builds 👍
Simply amazing! It's so nice to see that you use, more or less, the same pieces yet the result is so different. The only thing that sucks, in my mind, and has nothing to do with you is to see that the windmills generate only 3 power. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you! Although just using the base game and DLC objects can be a little limiting at times, with careful placement (or just mashing pieces together using Place Everywhere 😅) feel you can still get a lot of use from them. I agree that it’s a shame for such a large object the windmills only generate a small amount of power. They are there mainly for looks though, and do have a fusion core generator in the build.
Many thanks! You might be happy to hear following your request (and a few others) the next and final part will be a decoration vid. Not sure how well it will be received but hopefully you’ll enjoy 👍
Have you ever used the wooden support beams from the barn tab as fence posts? It would make joining wall pieces free-hand a little easier, and would add even more variety.
It’s an interesting idea that I’ll have to try out! As I like to build enclosed settlements its always good to have more ways to break up and make the outer junk walls more interesting. Thanks for the suggestion 👍😁
Lot going on there, great layout for it all! Love the center use around the water pool. On the build I've got going I turned the area into a MM lounge/resort area :) Have you done any work at Spectacle Island? Working on making mine into a seaside supply port area. Working with all that area is a slow-going process. Hope I can get a build that fits the use and area like yours does here. Good stuff.
Thanks, the build is really coming together and currently trying to get it all decorated for the final tour! I try not to think about Spectacle Island… certainly going to be a challenge to try and use most of the available space without creating a settlement that runs at a single digit frame rate. 😅 Sounds like you have a good idea for it though and hope your build there goes well 👍
oh yeah, it's all coming together. this is awesome, i love the turbines on the big screen! do you build your guard posts according to enemy spawn points or do you build them where they just seem to make sense have one?
Thanks! So very close to completion now... Having a heck of time getting it all decorated for the finished tour, to the point of almost regretting building so much 😅 The guard posts are placed where I think they hopefully would make the most sense, having always used the no settlement attacks mod I have to confess to having no idea where the enemy spawn points are!
@@FiddleflapsVids that's understandable, having one trigger while recording would be annoying and honestly? I have no idea where the spawns are either 😂
I seem to remember ‘No Settlement Attacks’ being the first mod I ever installed for this game. After learning that enemies can just spawn inside the settlement ignoring my carefully constructed junk walls… could not be having that! 🤣
fiddle how can I get in touch with you, I really need to ask you a few pointers man. I'd highly appreciate it.. I could send you a DM on Nexus maybe if you have time. or want to
If you don't want to help you can quicksave as soon as you get that message and then sleep until the quest completes or fails. If it fails reload the save and sleep again until it works.
@@TheInsaneShecklador on survival mode I normally keep all of my supplies (crafting materials) at a central location where I have no settlers, which negates worrying about settlement attacks. I play on PS and have a mod that allows me travel through tunnels to vanilla only locations. Haven't found one that is DLC friendly.
I Hate you i had to leave state for awhile and i wont be able to make it home for at least another 17 hours at this point coz Reasons. Been out of state and on the other side of the country for basicly past 3 weeks and I wanna FO4 settlement build so hard right now go back to my building but when i get home i gotta do a bunch of random stuff chores and such, I Hate you.... @@FiddleflapsVids I thought the hate lead to the dark side or some such thing. But im back and tierd and hungry, I get into FO4 in a few days time maybe a week from now got things to do home.
I'm glad that content like this is still being produced for F4. Both inspirational and therapeutic.
Awesome to hear you enjoyed it, many thanks! 👍

wasn't expecting to see a fallout 4 settlement build video in the year 2022, it looks really cool.
Glad you liked it, many thanks! 👍
I wish to be able to build like you, your settlements look amazing.

Now that’s a pretty shack, I may make it my first building in sanctuary
Thanks, hope it looks good in your build 👍
Wow! As always insane builds!

@@FiddleflapsVids alright Sweet man.. I appreciate it.. I just need to do few things then I'll send you msg😊 and thanks again for getting back to me
How do you move the structures incrementally like that?
Its done via the Place Everywhere mod using its precise movement feature.
Do you ever get x settlement is under attack while making these?
I believe ‘No Settlement Attacks’ was the first mod I ever installed for this game, and have been using it ever since 😉
