- Travel to Japan. Walk in Tokyo: Famous Hachiko Square, Shibuya Scramble Crossing, Mario Kart.
1. Hachiko Square 🐶
Start at Hachiko Square, right outside Shibuya Station. This is where the famous statue of Hachiko, the loyal Akita dog, stands. It’s a major meeting point for locals and tourists. Be prepared for crowds, especially in the evening!
2. Shibuya Scramble Crossing 🚦
Right next to Hachikō Square is the Shibuya Scramble Crossing, one of the busiest pedestrian crossings in the world. When the lights turn red, hundreds (sometimes thousands) of people cross from all directions at the same time. It’s an iconic Tokyo experience! Try to get a view from the Shibuya Sky observation deck or a nearby café like Starbucks Shibuya Tsutaya for an epic time-lapse shot.
3. Mario Kart in the Streets! 🏎️
If you’ve ever wanted to dress up as your favorite Nintendo character and drive a go-kart through Tokyo, this is your chance! Several companies offer street go-kart tours (previously called "Mario Kart," but now under different names due to copyright). You’ll drive past Shibuya, Harajuku, and even Tokyo Tower with an experienced guide. A valid international driving permit (IDP) is required to participate.
