Hi Jamie and John this one true great album Elvis: Paradise Hawaiian Style (FTD) has great songs get happy mood listen cool album what ever you guys do have cool time TCB forever long live Elvis
Thanks for another great FTD Classic Album review. Re the cover--I think a photo from Fun in Acapulco was used because it was felt that maybe the Elvis of mid-1965 was a bit too 'puffy' and so a picture of a slimmer, earlier Elvis was used. RCA did the same thing with the cover of the Frankie and Johnny soundtrack album. Thanks again for the excellent review!
Hello from Germany . Great you review this one and yes , a 3 CD Ftd Sessions Album would be great . A lot Fans dont really Like this Movie and Soundtrack . Well , at the time 1965 the movies was not Like Blue Hawaii from 4 years ago . But for me , get this Album in the 80s at the age of 16 , i Like it . Most Songs dont find on other Albums and what a great Front and Back Cover . Great , that you find some good in this one . Paradise , Scratch my Back , Drums of the Islands , This IS my Heaven , Sand Castles are good Songs . I Like the Movie too . But to Talk about mid 60 soundtracks , i Like the Double Trouble Album too . Some good Songs in IT and a Hidden gem City by night . Sorry about my language knowledge .Have a nice day .
Hey Jamie and John , good to see you brothers, really nice quick review, i LOVE the ( Acapulco ) picutre sleeve, awesome ! Sands Castles is wonderful song , and i really like the out takes of Datin and Dogs Life , also love the title track ;) , have a great weekend ....p.s Jamie i love your red shirt, where did you got it ? i asume its a hand tailored made ;) , thanks, Sincerely, Lior ( from Israel )
- - - - never cared for this movie. Conversely, the Mid 60s were difficult and are still a deterrent to bringing new fans on board...... I believe a disclaimer should exist every time we discuss that period. If non Elvis fans, and Newcomers, knew the reason behind it, I think Elvis would attract more fans. Unfortunately, so many people form their opinion of him based on these (otherwise) just-for-fun-flicks. They come across an Elvis movie, on tv &/or movie songs and flee, believing that was the best he was capable of. Not realizing he was stuck in that 10 yr contract with no leverage.
