Taking the Texas eagle first time next month. Oh boy thanks for the walkthrough
Our experience was horrible. Oversold, no dining car, no observation car. Microwave food only. Almost constant train horn. Never again.
Ever since Amtrak removed the observation car the Texas Eagle has fallen to the bottom of the long distance train rankings. Hopefully the full consist comes back soon with dining car, observation car and full service dining.
