Rodentrap was originally only released on Gamejolt with no evidence of EXE content, then was later released on Gamebanana as Sonic Legacy.
Not gonna sugarcoat it, I was excited to finally have a normal Sonic mod and then I immediately lost interest when I found out it was just another Sonic.exe mod, thank god I didn't find out by playing it myself

The Tankman is DEAD. Massive achievement for the end of the season. After seeing today's lineup of mods I wasn't sure if they will be up your alley, but you surprised me! Great job on beating the Bomb and the spooky Hedgehog, and we will get the Clown eventually

A mod that I'd definitely recommend and that I had a ton of fun with is the D-Sides mod!!
It remixes all the songs in the game alongside giving the characters redesigns and giving them brand new backstories!! The art and music is awesome, and they actually took the time to modify week 6's dialogue and do brand new voice acting for Tankman's week to fit the new story!!
The mod also adds some brand new original songs to some weeks, and there are a TON of extra songs in the Freeplay menu to play!! It'd be pretty cool to see you play it
Just one mod request that I'm sure was recommended before, but FNF Online VS. would be right up your alley! Your skill level is improving, so I can't wait to see what mods you'll play in season 5!
You've come so far Phil! It's been nice seeing you have so much fun with the fnf mods. The community has gotten so wildly creative with everything that it still blows my mind what they can do with the interface/how interactive things can get.
Unfortunately, some of my favorite ones are the illegal franchise mods. Not because it's strictly the franchise itself, but the composer is probably one of my faves hands down. Penove is seriously talented and I really hope to see them expand elsewhere.
Although, the walten files mod is wonderful. I don't know if it's finished, though. I haven't kept up like I usually do because of work. The Mandela catalog mod has some bangers too.
All in all - wonderful to see you explore fnf. I've enjoyed watching you get more comfortable with playing and really enjoy yourself. I love these streams (:

Ytp Invasion is a cool mod and I think you'll like it since it's similar to the Interwebs one from the Funk Kast and Friday Night Crunchin' too! SMB Funk Mix is a really cool Mario mod all in pixel art and if you play it you should also play SMB Funk Mix: Game Over, it's only one song but it's an absolute banger! I know you've probably been suggested this thousands of times but Vs. Impostor V4 is a really fun mod and it's not that difficult but you should also play the V5 because despite being an april fools version it has an actual week with genuine songs and they're all peak!
Well that was a ton of chaos We couldn't beat Tricky but... One day... Anyway can't wait for Droods 2: Clocktower Edition!

This was a lot of fun had to leave for a bit cause of internet issuesbut I still had a good time for mods I would suggest phantomism (I think) Chase a vinus carnus mod, prey (a Sonic mod:) Vocal Catastrophe (an actual non sonic.exe mod) Death toll (a Pokémon creapy pasta one) there’s a dreams of an insomniac one, etc also Justice for ark he got banned for no reason (he should be ok tomorrow though) even though he thought a c4 was the detenator also DRUIDS TOMORROW
I would 100% recommend the D-sides mod because not only does it have banger remixes but it also has original songs too!!!

Welp, what a nice way to finish the last Funkin stream of the season! You finally managed to beat your nemesis, congrats! I kinda joined a little late this stream but from what I have seen, you are improving really fast! The next thing I would recommend for you to do is start playing the base game on hard mode and finish it like that. After that, you will be ready for a lot of the future mods. Currently, Tricky is the easiest mechanic mod out there. The fourth song is gonna take a long time for you to beat, just a heads up. From the FunkKast, I STRONGLY recommend VS Retrospecter but trust me when I say this, it is the hardest mod out there. There is literally a song that is designed to be unbeatable with it's difficulty (At least it is an extra song and it doesn't give many things for beating, just extra content). The other mod I would highly suggest is the new version of B-Sides that is gonna be out later. It is the first ever FNF mod to be ever released! Now that you played Whitty, you gotta try VS Hex too. Hex is canonically Whitty's closest friend. The last song of that mod is really hard, the others are pretty chill. Hope this helps! (Turned out to be a little long, sorry Phil.)

I know it was shown off in the Funk Cast, but I DEFINITELY recommend the Retrospecter mod once you've gotten real good. Its got a ton of content even before the update they showed off and the songs are really good

Gorefield v2: funny Garfield horror memes with nice art not to difficult (if you don’t count the scavenger hunt for a secret song)

As somewhat of an FNF veteran lemme tell you when I first played week 7 it took me a solid 3+ hours of back to back attempts to beat guns on Normal, so it's nothing to scoff at. Good job!
Hotline 024 is great and it has very few mechanics, but some of the charts are quite complex, so watch out for that.

The FNF modding community has a tendency to either make mods that start out as jokes, but become epic later on (Like Vs. Impostor) or mods that are one shots that are straight up epic, despite being based on memes or brainrot. (Like this recent trend of Twiddlefinger, Rotten Smoothie, and Endless Aethos being mods with songs based on hellish childhood memories and/brainrot with epic animated lyrical segments).
All it takes is a bit of creativity and you can accomplish pretty much anything!
Just take a look at the mods in this Funkast 2 or how Twiddlefinger turned out to be!

Absolute banger this stream was, finally defeating your arch-nemesis, feels good. Anyway Id recommend vs Tabi its a classic mod, story of GFs Ex. And ofcourse the Retrospecter mod (whenever p2 comes) but its best you save this one once you are truly skilled.

FNF The Limb (四肢) - A pretty short original horror mod with 3 songs and pretty neat visuals, they are pretty moderate in their difficulty and I think you would like them as they are really good, it got left pretty unrecognized but I think you would enjoy the experience!
Happy I managed to catch one of these live- adds a bit of flavor to the watching experience. A few mods I'd personally recommend (not really from a gameplay perspective, moreso that I just think they're pretty cool, so you might wanna take my recs with a grain of salt since they might not match your skill level) are Hypno's Lullaby (Pokemon Creepypasta Mod- really well-made, & quite a few songs have interesting gimmicks), VS Omori - Black Space Boss Rush (Also really well-made w/ a few different gimmicks like the Emotions system, for example), Seek's Cool Deltarune Mod (Catchy songs w/ Deltarune characters & some gimmicks as well- Probably closer to your skill level than some of these other mods), & FNF Ft. Sans (Has this one really good song that I like & has a gimmick that I'd recommend playing in windowed mode to experience properly, but I don't know much about it otherwise). Sorry for the rant- I used to hyperfixate on this fandom & I think I might be starting to hyperfixate on it AGAIN thanks to your recent content, lol

If I have to suggest some a really good mod for you to play, Vs. Cartoon Cat is genuinely AWESOME
Congrats on improving so much in just three streams!!! A classic mod I would recommend is Vs Psychic, also known as Mind Games. Not many people talk about it anymore, but it's relatively easy and it makes use of an FNF character people rarely use in mods!
Edit: Just doublechecked. I think you'd definitely be able to beat it if it was just a normal chart, but there's a gimmick that might make things a bit more annoying. Still, though, I encourage you to give it a try!

congrats on beating tankman! i know i just suggested a mod last stream but another mod i'd want you to play is funkscop, there might be a 1.5 update coming soon but i still think the mod is great for a stream as is! there are some codes you need to input to unlock some bonus songs, but luckily someone put them in the gamebanna comment section so you don't have to try and figure them out yourself if you don't want to (also there's a secret song if you wait on the title screen for long enough and it's my personal fav so make sure to do that one as well)
It’s been very entertaining seeing you play fnf, reminds me of how I started out playing this game. Good luck on beating Hell Clown :D, I remember it feeling like a really big accomplishment for me when I first beat it.

It is always cool to see people climb this ladder. My ladder was... Interesting, to say the least. I didn't play mods until I beat all (at that time) 6 weeks on hard, and my first mod was vs Whitty. Spent like 100+ tries on Ballistic to at least beat him on normal. The version I had was different from what was shown here, there were only 3 songs, but it also wasn't the awful version (the ladder of jacks is terrifying). After that I tried Indie Cross. My next "roadblock" was in that mod - Nightmare Run, it was also 100+ tries. Despite that, I think it is a good mod for beginners (this song only plays during the current last week when you play on hard + mechanics got nerfed), so you might want to check it out. But, if you insist on waiting for the update, considering your current skill level, I recommend Friday Night Crunchin' or that one Spooky Jumpscare Mansion mod I forgot the name of. I don't remember them being very difficult, but, considering how I started, I may be incorrect.
What I definitely recommend is replaying songs you already beat (even if the difficulty is the same), as at some point you might find yourself stuck, like me. Even if it is off camera, replaying a few songs you like might help to see your growth and improve even more. Another helpful thing is the debug menu (the number 7). Although it never significantly helped me in the end, it does provide an option of slowing down some harder songs or speeding up easier songs for practice. Lastly, try playing without music. For some reason, when I tried that, my accuracy and overall score significantly improved. Maybe because I played the songs in my head or maybe music distracted me, but it is interesting how it affected gameplay. I am not saying you should always play like that (music is literally the reason I and may others play the game), but trying it out might be fun. Hope you reach Mario Madness level before the update!
Nice stream, to answer your question on mods where you can play on the other side, I recommend flavor rave. It's a music based mod and it is more of a chill mid rather than fighting exes, ect. You can play on the side you prefer. It also has a decent story
The Trollge Files mod is a very good mod, it has an unique artstyle and a lot of high quality content with a lot of songs.
it will kick your ass tho, you're not going to beat it unless you use ghost tapping, and i dont remember if its even enough to beat some of the songs. You gotta check this mod out at some point tho.

As someone who was around during the Sonic.exe craze, I get the apathy of these horror FNF mods. They're usually beautifully animated and sometimes the songs actually sound like songs. I caved in and gave the Sonic.exe mod a listen when the cancelled 2.0/2.5 build dropped. There are only 3 songs I can truly recommend:
Prey 2.0 - My personal favorite song. You saw a small part in the extras menu at around 2:47:24.
Endless 2.0 - A song referencing an old easter egg from Sonic CD.
Milk 2.0 - It's silly but I love it.
I would recommend the 2.0 versions of these songs as the newer versions improve upon the older versions by a lot. Thx Phil.

for mod recomendations i would sugget the flavor rave mod a fun OC mod that got recently updated and the premise is that the OCS are musicians that have designs based on their music genre and flavor relating to their music, so for example sweet=classical or sour=EDM, it's a pretty long mod so you would have to possibly do a stream only for this mod in the next season( oh also there is a secret song if you browse through a certain feature that appears after the first week.AKA.chapter
Hey Phil, here is a Mod recommendation: The FNF Weekly Mod!
As the name suggests, the idea of the mod is that it gets updated weekly with new songs, while still being of great quality.
The songs inside of the mod don't have an overall theme, but all the songs in an update itself have. For example the songs in Update 3 are based on old newgrounds stuff and the songs from update 4 are based on old famous fnf mods.
Also the difficulty is not that high and I think you'll be able to beat it.
It is currently about an hour long with 4 Updates (tho at the point you'll play it, it'll be way longer)
It has great quality and a lot of variety, be it in song origin or artstyle (for example there is a Spamton song in the FNF artstyle and a Majoras Mask song in that games artstyle)
I REALLY recommend the FNF Soft mod!! It's a more story-focused mod, being an AU of the original game that tells a more emotional story and switches some things around (Boyfriend/Benjamin is still dating Pico, the battles are against Ben's parents, etc). The mod is quite long (it has 6 weeks + some freeplay songs) so it would probably take a whole stream, the songs are really good (give a listen to "It's Complicated" if you want (WITHOUT gameplay, please avoid spoilers for this song)) and the difficulty is around the same as the base game.
Rotten smoothie is a must play mod (idk if he did lol)

I think FNF Vocal Catastrophe is a good regular Sonic mod, it's only one song about the many different voices and voice actors Sonic has had. It has a bunch of little animations and voice lines, it's really cool. Don't know about the difficulty though
Idea for a sonic mod make it super sus as an exe mod but keep it only sonic but add in the sonic.exe lines like do you wanna play with me or have eggman say i am god or i am your god
Bro finally avenged himself after so long, recommend BSides Redux and D Sides honestly, it is very similar to base game with remixes of the songs and feels perfect for your skill level. Good stream!
Some unique and stylish one song mods (kinda like Catfight) that I would personally recommend!
- Mods where this user RixFX is involved/made entirely by them, like Vs Nero, Vs Rika and Funk City Rewind. The art and music is always amazing.
- Kero, you sing against a little frog and the art is adorable
- Remix 4, it´s a direct adaption of a different Rhythm Game (Rhythm Heaven Fever) both in gameplay and animation but using FNF characters, it´s easy and the mechanics are well explained
(Unfortunately you don´t play as a chicken nugget in any of these)
I know that people have suggested Doki Doki Takeover….which I do as well.
But one that i think you’d like is Funkdela Catalog (or FNF Mandela Cataloge). The songs there are pretty catchy. The art has been updated quite a bit as well. Another is Angelic Atrocities (which is just Vs Alternate Gabriel)
mods i recomend: Arrow Funk and gorefild v2 (this one every week have a unique macanic)

Ourple Guy has many connections to the top hat bear series, so unless you’re ready to meet an old friend, I’d say don’t do it
you should totally play rush shot! its a cool but short sonic mod themed around Sonic Rush for the nintendo ds, the visuals are EYE CANDY!! and the song is a banger too!
Well there isn’t a full sonic non exe mod to my recollection however there is a sonic week in fnf hd which is a basic reskin remix mod
also id like to recommend county funkin which is a mandela mod that is VERY high quality

Would you consider playing the recently remastered Furnace Whitty mod? It was first released in 2020-2021, and has gotten a major, fantastic overhaul. You'll probably enjoy the art style and the songs; they're real bops!
You should also check out Twinsomnia: its directed by the same person who made Whitty and it has some really charming cutscenes!

Friday Night Crunchin’ (again I’m going to recommend this since it is my personal favorite) honestly at this point, I think you can beat every song in this (except for the last song on the third week) and also the soundtrack is just… something else man.. ;) (It’s very good)
The other one is Ytp invasion (aka the weegee mod) is also good (but there’s about an hour and a half’s worth of content, there’s just a lot of content in there) [Also Mario classified too!]

Someone probably already mentioned it but TwiddleFinger has been aknoledged by Max design pro himself. He put a wanted poster of that version of Max in the background of a short, and another short had him going to the nugget's house and at the end they were playing the twiddlefinger mod. (He probably referenced it afterwards but I have better things than watching Max design pro)
if you want an actual genuine non exe sonic mod i highly recommend fnf rushshot, its one song but its really well made
You should check out flavor rave v2 its a really fun mod with great music and a nice story.. It may be a lil hard for you still but i think you will enjoy it

one mod that i hope you check out is friday night at the pizza tower!! it faithfully recreates pizza tower's artstyle, all of the songs are really fuckin good, and seeing that you really liked pizza tower itself, i think youre gonna really like it!! plus its manageable for your playing level :)

VS HEX Full Week Update. It is one of the OG mods, and is fairly easy. Hex is such a precious boy and packs some bangers. (Also there's a weekend update if you wanna play more, get lore and ramp up the difficulty)
Arcade showdown V2. A classic, and for a good reason. You fight Kapi, a furry in a DDR dance pad. The songs are very good and specially the charting fells intuitive and fun to play
VS Hatsune Miku 2.0. It's Miku AND it's awesome
In the Galaxy 3.0. It's cool and really fucks with your mind with it's mechanics. Despite it, it's forgiving with how many notes you can miss (some people gets over 200)
Indie cross. Genuinly, one of the best mods I've seen. It's so polished, the music is fire, the style is so cool. It has everything
you reached a pretty good level you could probably beat every week at hard except for week 7 and week end also mods like hex should be easy now and mid fight masses is pretty doable at this point.

Play vs. Imposter v4 its absurdly well made and well balanced (for the most part). Theres like 30+ songs, its a BIG mod.
