Great idea but I already know what my Doberman would do. One leap onto the bottle, two drawers, string, bottle, silverware and whatever else in the drawers laying in a pile, bottle shredded and kibble gone within a minute. Dog game over.
My dog is a Jack Russell mix named Lucy. She absolutely loves food. She is very small - had to do this with tiny kids chairs. The name Lucy means light/bright in Latin. This is the second definition of bright: 2.(of a person, idea, or remark) intelligent and quick-witted. Well, lets just say my dog doesn't exactly live up to her name in the way you would think. I sat next to her while she stared at the bottle, then laying under it. So I demonstrated how to do it. I slightly tipped the neck of the bottle until a treat fell out. She ate it, then looked at me. I did the same thing after a few minutes. Same results. Lucy is smart because she knows that we will demonstrate and she will get a treat. In other words, she's smart because she knows she can be lazy and get what it is she wants. I was hoping she would be smart in the sense that she would at least TRY to figure it out. No matter how much I hope, she ain't doin' 'nuthin'.

Awe, can I ask what kind of dog this is? Looks a lot like my Lola, she's German Shephard and Rottweiler mix. He is super adorable whatever breed he is 🙂
Please tell me you live in the Chicagoland area. He looks exactly like our dog. We got her from a rescue called Magnificent Mutts. If so we have to let them meet! It would be so cool.

My rotti would do the same.insta Amie.1800
😂 that was the first thing that came to mind
My German shepherd would do the same thing. Then he would destroy the water bottle.
exactly what was I was thinking would happen if my puppy got going on this
Then just tie it to a pole or a fence post
This is really clever! I'm going to try it.

I love this idea. I will definitely try it.
I thought it was a great idea! So i tried it, but my dog just laid down waiting for the cookies falling out of the bottle by it self😂
XD
Cookies???
Will be trying this with my grand-dog tomorrow, I will let you know how it goes! Brilliant game.
So how did it go
mine would stomp the string and eat the bottle lol

My dog would be like no
Exactly
My husky went "unga bunga" and destroyed the chair. Such inteligent creatures dogs are.
Wow,,i liked it i shall defenitly try on my dog
Just tried with my pup, just sure you use a thicker rope not string so it wont get caught in the dogs teeth. My pup loved the toy idea tho!
Thank you so much I all ways have so many water bottles now I can use one I have already made a toy for my dog she will be so happy thank you
1:55 tricky move 🤣
One of my dogs was frightened of it and the other just stared into space. Good idea though.
My dog will instantly bite and destroy that bottle
Good idea but my AmBull does tear bottles up in one bite and he 10 months old but I’ll try none the less with heavier bottle and robe 👍

joy what type of dog do you have?
He's a Collie/Lurcher cross (I think!) - he's a rescue dog so doubt there's much 'pure' breed in there but we love him just the way he is :)
@@JoyfulDogsTraining he looks a bit like a entlebucher mountain dogm
