Hello Aleksandr! Firstly, thank you for sharing your video. I disassembled a VHS Player and inside it there is a Capstan Motor that has a "Panasonic AN3844SB" Controller IC, but I can't find its Datasheet on the internet. This IC has 28 pins. Is there any way to test the pins for power? Thanks

Thanks for your video. I have a Capstan motor JVC that is here: www.ksp-electronics.com/en/product/view/25473-cap-motor-qar0087-005 the connector looks almost exactly as yours. BUT I can't figure out how the pins needs to be used. If you look at the above https:... and the connector is at the bottom right side, the motor is at the top the connector has 8 wires. let's call the left side 4 connectors 1,2,3,4 and the right side would be 5,6,7,8. The 1, 2 and 3 has no label. 3 = SV or 5V (hard to tell) and under 5V is CTL label, the right side : 5 = 12V, 6 = NC, 7 = F/R, 8 = P - G. What wires goes to 12V - is it 5 + 8 - right? When I put 12V on 12V at #5 =12V+ and on #8 goes GROUND nothing happens. When I put the +5V on #3 my adjustable power supply takes 2.5A and the voltage dropped to 4.8V and the motor moves a small amount and STOPS! I don't understand this at all, if you can help I'll try your suggestion. Thank you!

You need to isolate the coils from the circuit board
Best method: take the coil and rotor assembly off of the circuit board
