Running Motor HDD without ESC

- Hard drive motor is brushless motor. It works with high frequency 3 phase voltage from ESC. However in this video, I tried to run it without ESC. by adding a capacitor. The capacitor creates a 90-degree deflection angle. The motor will run, however at a much lower speed than the ESC.
All my projects are free, I design them on EAGLE 6.0. I uploaded it to Google drive. You need to use a web browser to download the file and open the file with winrar software (extract) on the PC. Open schematic file (.SCH) and PCB file (.BRD) with EAGLE software.

Why you used a 330uf capasitor. İf we use less capasity, the motor rotate faster?
Would a fan capacitor work, and would it run on a square wave pwm
did it require any special tool to take the hdd apart? I have a real difficult time of getting them apart. That is a real problem but seems all these types of videos seem to do it too easily. can't understand that.
since the motor rated at 7200RPM, does this method utilize the motor max speed?

there is an IC current because it is connected to a capacitor like a negative wire to a positive contact, it cannot work if there is a constant current

@@felipe-eb2oz Yes. 4 wire one is star configuration with a common neutral point and 3 wire one is delta connected with no neutral point.

Inefficient and amateur like third world. Only two coils work in a star connection, just by chance. The motor will be destroyed as more current flows through the coils. Also needed is a frequency converter that was not shown in the video for "good" reasons. A three-phase motor can operate on one phase with one capacitor, but it is necessary to rewind the motor into a delta. The rated voltage is significantly reduced. Then that would be fine. Many things can work differently than they were designed, but only for a while.
can you show us how? genuinely interested in the one phase, one capacitor idea
@@petermarin I have given the instructions above. Search Google for values that suit your device. Only if you want to do what is on the video, you need to use a frequency converter that is intentionally hidden out of the camera's range.

your idea is quite simple yet genius, do you think that we can control the speed if yes how?
Control knob between capacitor and live, not quite sure really....
The speed is according to the value of capasitor (capasity). So by using variable capasitor make us possible to adjust the speed in simplest way.
Or adding some mosfet like fz44 + potensio (variable resistor)

And it's been 1 yr so doesn't really remember.

@mx22 pc components are usually dc, i doubt it would be converted to ac for any reason. The hdds usually have 12v and 1 lower voltage but thag depends on the hdd
