What a wonderful operation. I’ve flown a variety of aircraft from attack helicopters to jets, but the most joyful flying experience I’ve had was getting my seaplane rating in a Cub at Kenmore a couple of years ago.
Lots of good Kenmore Beaver pilots come to Alaska. And then they learn how to really fly. As a fly fishing guide in Bristol bay I flew with many of them. Smart and quick to learn and build hours hauling fuel and freight to sport fishing lodges et. al. Buts it’s different weather than the lower 48. In Alaska IFR is I follow rivers. If it’s 0/0 at takeoff time we ain’t going.
