Too bad the idiot electrical engineers designed the worst computer/WIRING HARNESS IN AUTOMOTIVE HISTORY RIVALED ONLY BY LUCAS IN THE UK, it's criminal that GM wasn't forced to recall it for a complete replacement harness and not just the ignition lock
thats a pretty bold claim seeing how nearly every ls based motor will either have lifter failure or a oil pump failure. and yet they keep on changin it up trying to get it to a point where there older motors have been, the 5.3 is alot newer than a tbi sbc but yet mile to mile a sbc will and still do outlast the newer ls based engines. not a hater on ls stuff, i own n operate a few but also know that gm will never outdo there 3800 series 2 engine. they made a shit ton of ls motors and there dissapearing faster than they make them because of low oil psi and bad bearings- this was never what gm was know for but now they are.. still cant keep a lifter pumped up and its more than 2 decades later.

I purchased a grill off EBAY specifically designed for the trunk sized badge. Then installed the GM part to it. An "SS" traditionally has this center mounted in that position. GM should have done this factory on a car with such a rich heritage. Thanks.

The only downfall to this car was that stupid transmission they put in these. They aren’t built for 5.3
the simplicity of this vehicle is amazing who ever had this car had taste the kenwood double din says it all

The aftermarket stereo is a Kenwood Navi unit. The double din setup fits perfect in the Impala and looks like factory.

S R I own the identical car it's stock, the tranny sucks but if you upgrade she's one hell of a beast
