Can't say I expected to see a 3d model of the Magdeburg unicorn today but I'm quite glad that I did. Was very interesting seeing how you interpreted it from the "skeleton" alone. Regarding the second dino depiction however, according the same blog you had used, it originates from a book originally published in 1993 titled "The Concise Illustrated Book of Dinosaurs" Shockingly enough it was actually meant to be a Ceratosaurus...
@@Bini3D you should do extra videos on retro dinosaur 2d art to 3d now and then, but as paleo accurate in a speculative evolution scenario, like if some of these inacurrate reconstruction were made into it's own fictional species, but also with details that make it into a more scientifically plausible depiction, with komodo dragon- like lips, bon pronatable wrists, and for the theropods that drag their tails, they would mainly have the horizontal posture of modern day depictions, but they can stand up to drag their tails for a temporary amount of time
Man I absolutely LOVE the way you edit your videos and sprinkle in animations, all while explaining what you're doing, in such a way that most people can understand!
Yeah, the fight was pretty cool, but it didn't feel like we were watching animals fighting, but humans transformed into animals (specially noticeable with the Allosaurus weilding the Unicorn's horn like a sword and even doing tricks with it).
these models are absolutely peak, but can we talk about how good the animation and music is in the fight? Like holy crap, It's so well executed and choreographed. You really need to do more of these, genuinely incredible.
Huge dinosaur nerd here. You have no idea how giddy I was seeing this video pop up in my feed, you’ve done excellent work! I’d love to see more retrosaur adaptations in the future, there’s some really nutty stuff out there. The early reconstructions of Iguanodon would be a prime candidate for something like this! Also, your comment about the use of a dinosaur’s tail is correct, it was used as a counterweight to stop the animal from face-planting.
New Bini upload! And it's about dinosaurs???? Your videos are always such a treat to watch, you just have a distinct visual and editing style and your breakdown of 3d art principles are so well-put and approachable (if this is propaganda to get people to do 3D modelling, then it's working I think) Anyway, keep up the good work dude, absolutely adore your work!
I just stumbled across your channel through this video actually, and after watching this and some of your lethal company modelling vids, I have to say: hell yeah!! As an artist with a big love for creature design (and a fascination for 3D modelling), seeing you bring these strange but cool renditions of dinos and a not so dino to life is soooo fucking cool. Also your presentation and voice over, alongside your editing and animation, so good!! Keep being awesome, subbed cuz I look forward to seeing what you do next :D Have a great day!!
I goddamn adore this style of video, I really really hope this video blows up so we can watch you tackle more niche situations like these - I'm currently studying game development and having these wonderfully crafted high quality videos with entertaining explanations on 3D is so damn motivating
I can't express how happy I am with this video. I freaking love dinosaurs! Do you think you'd consider making a video modeling more scientifically-accurate dinosaurs?
I really wish I was as good at drawing horrifying uncanny human like lizard monsters as I was these artists. Like genuinely. A lot of these designs remind me of shin godzilla, who’s also supposed to be an uncanny human like lizard monster and I love shin godzilla so this is a W. You did them all justice im very glad I can now see these creatures in 3D. Now someone needs to use them all in one of those dinosaur analog horror videos.
Awesome job on these. Older Dinosaur reconstructions are always fun and interesting to look back on. My personal favorites being the Victorian era reconstructions.
1:09 Based for mentioning that channel. I LOVED watching their videos when I was younger, especially the ones from the channel they uploaded to before they made their own.
omg yes!!! please do somehting with all tomorrows actually one of my fav things ever, and with the whole trying not to bore people, you could talk about the story or how hypothetically these things could work anatomically speaking
Wasnt expecting this video but as a dinosaur fan whos also fascinated with weird types of dinosaurs and monsters I love this. The editing is great btw I absolutely love it. Also the allo using the unicorns horn like a spear or sword was really funny and fitting, considering how it looks almost human.
I absolutely adore the presentation in this video. For me, it's the perfect mix of both explaining everything in enough detail to be understandable, while also still being entertaining enough to keep my attention. Love the vid, keep up the great work!
looove your videos sooo much. i really like how you both visualize and explain in detail exactly what yuo're doing... you could land a job as a teacher for sure LOL. i am also very inspired by your animations and personality, you really make me wanna sit down and try doing this too. you just have incredible go with the flow vibes that remind me of why i even started doing art and be creative in the first place as a wee babby... great job bini!!
i always find old depictions of dinosaurs so fascinating, their scary and uncanny looks makes them really intresing. i own a 1:13 revell model of a outdated t-rex and yep it is pretty cursed compared to modern depictions of it. great vid btw.
its crazy how much quality production goes in these vids of yours. i have confidence you can turn pretty much any topic, lame or not, into something interesting. always a good day a new video drops :D
Dude ,first time seeing your channel and I must say you are killing it ,awesome work I would love to see more retro dinosaurs videos if you decide to make it into a series which would be absolutely sick ,keep it up man
Halfway through the video - this is one of the most impressive and compelling tutorials / walkthroughs of a creative medium that I've seen. Your skill in communicating so many concepts in a fun way that isn't overwhelming is astounding. Really great work!!
As a nerd and 3D modeler myself, I absolutely loved seeing the processes of the models being made along with the epic fight scene at the end! A part 2 would be hilarious with even more cursed reconstructions seeing them fight in a round 2!
This is such a underrated video my dear man, I am a huge fan of vintage dinosaur art and seeing you model them in blender and explaining the process that you go threw is just delicious to me and I also learned a few things. Keep up the good apple pie man!
I learned more about 3D modeling, UV mapping, and texturing from this video then I have from hours of tutorial content... Thanks for inspiring me to get back into it.
I think it be interesting as a follow up to this video making accurate versions of these animals to show the contrast between them I think that be very interesting. Lovely work excited for your next
Insanely good animation and just overall editing. You’re extremely talented and this video was great. Also 3D allosaurus feels like what a live action Lizalfoe would look like
If you do more of these, i hightly suggest taking a look at the earliest representations of therazinosaurus and the woolly mammoth. Especially the latter, that thing is bonkers.
i love how you present these videos, the info you provide is delivered in a way that i think is really accessible to someone who's not super familiar with the ins and outs of 3D modeling so it doesnt feel like it goes over my head :]
I thought the presentation in this was absolutely fun! I also adore the topic, and how much work you put into turning these into 3D models and having them animated. All in all an amazing video!
This is the first of your videos that I’ve stumbled across and it was extremely captivating. The editing is immaculate and you have my sub but I think you deserve more!
First video I've seen of yours and I loved every second of it! Subscribed immediately! Also, the unflattering sound I made when you unveiled you were modeling the Magdeburg Unicorn after the atrociously wonderful Retrosaurs woke my poor cat up. He's mad at me now. Thanks XD
Another fantastic video, my only constructive critisim is the sound leveling. @2:39 to @2:58 there's just too much going on audio wise, sound fx were too loud and quite sharp, the background music had a lot going on complexity wise too. This made it really hard to hear and internalise what you said in this sequence. I also noticed that your voice over has a hollow quality to it, try to record in a more sound deadened and quiet space to reduce echo, this might help to reduce the audio clipping from what I assume is excess gain too. Remember you're doing a fuckin great job mate, I hope you know that!
the magdeburg unicorn was a surprise and a half, incredible vid, your content just keeps getting more and more fun to experience, honestly. great explanations as always, and i'd love to see you take a shot at the speculative evolution designs!!! If that’s ceratosaurus then the first one was spinosaurus
Casually drops the hardest intro for absolutely no reason
Allosaurus ripping the horn off a unicorn and using it as a weapon is such a raw sight
I think you mean unicorn?
He.. spelt it right?@bluehunter4471
Please make this a series, there's so many weird reconstructions of dinosaurs and other extinct animals that would look cool in 3D
There's this one funny Sauropod depiction that has weird legs. That should be in the next one
I know right?!
Not the Stegosaur with the "L" bend knees? @@orionmclaughlin5680
*Spinosaurus has entered the chat*
You should also model a Marsupial Pterosaur (when Pterosaurs were first discovered they were thought of as mammals instead of reptiles)
i hope i don't witness manmade horrors beyond my comprehension
the devious bini3D:
(great video btw)
Looking forward to 3D-rigging the Papo T. rex next
"everywhere is go i see his face"
but seriously its the 3rd rickraptor comment i see this week, its nice to know im geting deeper into paleo-youtube!
The Papo T. rex will reck you will it's horrifying t-pose...
Im looking forward to both Megalosaurus designs
Man I absolutely LOVE the way you edit your videos and sprinkle in animations, all while explaining what you're doing, in such a way that most people can understand!
You can tell this came from diving down an old dino design rabbit hole.
The best kind of video.
Dayum Allosauras got them moves in that last fight also that double kill was brutal

such a fun video omg. as a 3D artist myself listening to the way you explained the process was super interesting! also the animations are sick as hell
