@@iana9782 no the lines were recorded before the animation so his voice was in the whole video. His animation ended at the part where he said let's move on and then pauls animations started at the elevator
4:03 I remember the first time I read that. It still haunts me to this day. I was 12 years old and english is not my first language; therefore, I wasn't aware of Edd's leukemia, so reading that Edd Gould had died at the age of 23 completely shocked me.
The worst part was that he was also young with a lot of potential.
The fact that one of the last scenes that was made before Edd's passing is him having his deepest desire (that being bringing his drawings to life, which wouldn't shock me if that's actually what he legit wanted) fulfilled is honestly really bittersweet.
Yup. I bet my payment now he's bringing his drawings to life while drinking tons of cola in heaven, and having Fun with it.

+Matt, King of the North 3:00 was actually the last thing he fully animated. Some clips of Commander Bai animated by him are used, but the rest of the animation is mainly animated by Paul.
The change in animation quality near the end broke me, since it signifies Edd’s passing.

I kinda wanna cry, knowing he's gone... I have a lot of family with cancer, and when Edd died I wanted to beat the crap out of cancer. It sucks knowing that you have a high risk of cancer, and that you will most likely get it.
It's been 10 years since this episode was created and the last piece of animation that Edd Gould worked on.

one of the best eddisodes in my opinion, the timing of the jokes is perfect and the animation is top quality in both [arts, the references to past episodes and shows were very subtle and clever, the desire room was such a creative part and i loved it
I have watched this eddisode so much times.., but I had to watch it just another time so that I could see the light flickering off above Edds head, rest in peace Edd Gould, you will be missed

In the next scene, the light above him flickered off, while the lights above Matt and Tom stayed on.
A bit after that, the animation looks like it changes, but only a little bit. It may just be me on this one, but it seriously looks like it changes, which breaks my heart.

I don't think it represents what you think, notice the alien with Pauls signature eyebrow walking by as the light above Edd shuts down, it just means that from that point on, Edd made the first few frames and then Paul animated the rest.
But I do think it also means that Edd had died during that stage of development in space face :(
