+Mariocraft 2001 well technically flying implies that one is moving through an atmosphere. Also falling implies a point of reference. So depending on where you are, either the earth is falling down, up, sideways, backwards, etc...
+GlockProductions ™ it's just like in the hitch hikers guide to the galaxy series, specifically the 3rd one, it talks about how, you can fly, but to do it, you have to fall 100% on your face, then get distracted at the last second, and not on purpose, then you can fly, but you can't question it, think about it, and if anyone else asks, "How are you flying?" you just deny them, so gravity doesn't realize what you're doing, and you can fly. it's hilarious.

For all of those wondering why Tord left:
He left for 3 reasons. And it's actually kind of sad.
1. Tord was taking up all the fame and he felt bad because it was EDD's show. He didn't want Tord to take up all the fame for the whole series.
2. Eddsworld was giving the actor a lot of stress with things.
3. Tord was really disgusted and disappointed with everyone looking at Tord as some military crazed guy or some hentai material. He wanted Tord to be his own character and show that he's much more, so he decided to make the choice and make Tord leave for his OWN thing.
