Thanks Will. Great content. I am so happy that I have found you. This is kind of chess I love to watch and even better to play my self. Keep it up. PXV.
Fantastic stuff. The Traxler got me into chess and that eval at the end with the king run is certainly reminiscent of some lines there. You’ve helped me go from hating playing against Londoners to relishing it. Keep it up Gambit Man!
Thanks William for the content! I tried it a few times, lost most of them but after havinv reached a strongly winning position, it's the safety of my king that tricked me. I just need more exp on this tricky line but its definitely the most satisfying games i've played against the London ahah. I have to also comment for the Van popiel gambit that is definetly the best answer to the Scandinavian. Against the sicilian I've tried the YanYan gambit sometimes but it's really not working well, the wing gambit 2.b4..cxb4, 3. a3 and whatever he does take the center with d4 is a fun way to get great activity, lots of tricks. But many thanks for the inspirations you give through these tricky guides.
Another spectacular lecture! Tried this new crush London approach twice already and won two games so far. Especially the second try was quite interesting with the abrupt but stylish ending. Thank you William for the great content as always and let me share the second game here: 1.d4 Nf6 2.Nf3 e6 3.Bf4 Ne4 4.e3 g5 5.Bg3 h5 6.Bd3 d5 7.h3 Nxg3 8.fxg3 Bd6 9.Ne5 Nc6 10.O-O Nxe5 11.dxe5 Bxe5 12.c3 f5 13.Nd2 c5 14.Qf3 Qc7 15.g4 hxg4 16.hxg4 Bg3 17.gxf5 Rh1+ 18.Kxh1 Qh7+ {0-1}
I guess Bb5 correctly. Before you even ask me to guess and before you says all those move that were bad for white. I actually studied Blackmar Diemer line with black playing f5 and there’s a similar line that’ll works against low elo or some blitz player. It occurs in this line d4 d5 e4 dxe4 Nc3 f5 Bg5 h6 (h6 is normally only played by low elo or when your opponent doesn’t use their time and blitz it out immediately) and here you have Qh5+. Guess what’s the best move after the king move. It’s Bc4 with the idea to prevent Qe8. Learning this variation actually teach me to always look for my light square bishop move first whenever I managed to force the king to move with Qh5+ or Qg6+ and a lot of times the best move is to move that bishop.
Hi william, love your gambits. Few people come up with original ideas like this that actually work. Your openings arn't just gimmicky but practical. Bravo! Do you have a lichess study for this? Could you link it to me. Regards,
@@ExgarPond Hi, I'm not nearly as good as William but I personally like the move g6, followed by Bg7, O-O, d6, with the idea to destroy white's centre with the move e5! If you want me to make a video on this, I'll be very happy to!
Love your videos! Do you have any fun lines against e4 c5 c4? I love playing the Sicilian but whenever they play a maroczy bind I have my most boring and terrible games.
Great video William! Been looking specificy for a sharper line against 1d4 2Nf3 as I generally feel comfortable vs 2.c4/2.Nc3/2.Bf4 stuff. What if they don't play 3.Bf4 though, but instead do a setup like 1d4 2Nf3 3e3, do you have any recommendations vs white's turn 3 alternatives?
57:50 alright three guesses? O-O-O seems reasonable, lines up with the queen dxe5 seems reasonable, threatens mate, opens the center c4 maybe, try to play c5 to interfere with the plan to move the king to the queenside
As far as I know, other than direct one to one coaching,, graif puts up everything on yt so that people can play the lines he likes... Putting it behind a paywall? Nah I don't think he's gonna do it.... Moreover, putting same thing in chessable behind a paywall, but on TH-cam for free doesn't make sense. William tries to be as thorough as he possibly can, and doesn't hide anything in TH-cam. Also, making a free course on chessable is a big hassle and not worth the time...... Tldr: I don't think he's gonna do that
@Zyrexia: I truly appreciate that William makes this content available on TH-cam for free-don’t get me wrong. And you’re absolutely right if we’re just talking about video content itself. But for me, the key difference is that TH-cam doesn’t have a movetrainer. That makes all the difference. I find it tough to remember lines just by watching a video. I’d have to rewatch it multiple times, and even then, every time I go on TH-cam, I get bombarded with new videos vying for my attention. Sure, some ideas stick, but when it comes to highly irrational positions, move order is critical. With Chessable’s movetrainer, it’s so much easier to retain those crucial moves.
I love your opening ideas :) I even played in OTB in 90+30 games :) And it works!!! However in a blitz I got this game and I struggled a bit and lost :( 1.d4 Nf6 2.Bf4 e6 3.Nf3 Ne4 4.e3 g5 5.Be5 f6 6.Nfd2 and here I did not figure out what was the best solution...my game continued like this: 6...Nxd2 7.Qh5+ Ke7 8.Nxd2 fxe5 9.Qxg5+ and I lost... Any tips here?
Thanks Will. Great content. I am so happy that I have found you. This is kind of chess I love to watch and even better to play my self. Keep it up. PXV.
nice vid, I rlly like the deceiver gambit ideas
This is great stuff william. I am going to watchit several times to learn by heart some of the tricky lines. Thank you sir.

58:00 im so confident ill only need one guess. It’s gotta be Bb5. Preventing Kc6. And blacks king just blocks all the pieces from defending.

Nice tactics to finish him off
Great content as usual. Hoping this video and few more like this gets your channel some more traction cheers 🍻
Thanks again GambitBrother!
This is right up my street, thanks for share
58:00 Given your emphasis on the plan of running the king to a7, the move has to stop it somehow.
Are you kidding me, the Graif Attack! This has to be good!
"London System, Graif Counterattack"
OMG I wanted this soo soo soooooooooo much

Crazy Great!!! FM Williams
Love this content. Would love to see if you have any aggressive ideas against 1. Nf3, been running up against that a lot these days
Amazing!!
Great video
Hey William, do you do coaching?
Would be very interested :D

Regards,
Bb5 is the best move according to the engine, but Nxe4 also looks extremely dangerous for black.
19:06 you just take their queen back???
This is great! Any ideas against d4 Nf6 e3?
Basically, is there a way to implement a similar or at least aggressive plan against the colle system?

I want to see a live game with you playing this against high opponents

dang it must be that this opening is really good and not that I’m bad at chess 😅
When will you be publishing a Chessable course with this crazy stuff, William?
You can make your own course for free and add the variations yourself :) I made a video on this on my channel

My guesses for the winning move:
O-O-O
Bb5
c4

🐄!!!!!!!!! ❤️
Did you reach FM by just playing gambits?
Great content.
But, a suggestion.
Elimiunate the words "this" and "that" and replace with udentifying the square by notation.
My guess is bishop c4
What if hthe empassant
You know this looks good but one hour of lines to remember… 💀
As long as you remember more than 0% , you will know more theory than your opponent in this line!! :)
Hi William, how about opponent who pushes pawns continuously? Do you have video on that?
1 guess: Qh4
Damn
