To my Son Brad and my Grandson Blaze. Knowing and living the whole story, this reunion, captured with the love, feeling and respect for each other brings tears of warmth and joy every time I watch your videos. This time round the tears are of joy, warmth, and healing. I am grateful that you have found each other in my lifetime, and healed and filled a massive void in my heart. My love to you both, you are both strong people and this is only the beginning of your beautiful journey. Blaze, I have missed and loved you since you were born, and the day you came to this world we were blessed with your presence. Now I too can have the pleasure of seeing you as a person rather than my memories of you as a tiny wee baby. You are much loved and the most special person xxxx. My door and my heart is forever open to you ❤❤❤ Brad, I am proud of the young man you are, and always taken by your ability to forgive, no matter how much pain you have endured. I love you forever. Now that you have Blaze back in your life enjoy and live every precious moment. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This is an example of this profound truth: forgiveness and love wins. Always. There is an amazing mystery in forgiveness…there is a profound love on the other side. I believe it is a deeper, unique, love given as a gift to those who fully forgive and allow God to heal and give a fresh start. What a beautiful example of forgiveness, love, a clean slate - and new beginning. I wrote a book on forgiveness and this is so beautiful. Many struggle with letting the past go - if they only knew what was waiting on the other side. May the Lord bless you immensely…I think you already know HE has. ~Kim Chadwell

@@Kurotama11 whilst yes, it could be both at the same time it's possible it's only one, or even neither. But at the end of the day, theres plenty of evidence for both cases (e.g. feral children being evidence for nurture) so you can believe what you want
@@pupgaming5072 “plenty of evidence for both cases” by default means both are true in their respective rights tho, doesn’t it?? So why so adamant to *pick a side* ?
I have no idea why the algorithm brought your video to my attention, but this reaffirms that good things do still happen in this world. Best wishes to you both for a lifetime of love and happiness.
People don't realise how hard custody battles are. If a parent is telling you about their child that they don't have custody of, you shouldn't automatically assume that they don't love their child. This is beautiful. I'm so happy for you, guys! ❤
Agree. Knowing how young he was though in sure the mother's family thought they were doing what was best for their child, too. It's unfortunate for him, but I'm so glad he got his happy ending. This is such a critical age for a young man to have a father figure, too.
My son & his father are so close & do things a lot together. Camping, kayaking, hiking, sometimes basketball 🏀…my son is not very sporty😊now he’s teaching himself how to drive♥️♥️♥️
No, in many cases they should. Many fathers are abusive. But yes. This guy is obviously a very loving father and as long as they are like that, they shouldn't be but life happens i guess:/
As a mum of a kid being the same age around your son. His dad lives on another continent too. I would ask you to not only make it a vacation thing, write post cards whenever you can, send him trivial things like a new pencil case and annual planner when it’s the new school year, show him how to shave his beard once you’re on visit, pay interest in his school education and grades. My sons father always visits him once a year and my son is always smitten and so thankful - and it always breaks my heart, cause I know there won’t be much contact in between a birthday and Christmas card and that visit. 😢
We have a similar story. My daughter became pregnant with my grandson, and his dad had to go back to Ghana. He never actually got to see his son. Then, as we went into the 1st lockdown(covid), my grandsons mum found his dads sister on facebook. Within an hour I had a message asking if his dad could speak to his son( my grandson lives with me). We decided we would set it up the next day. Early next morning I put TH-cam on and called my grandson to watch a video of a man donating food parcels to the Ghanaian police to hand out... I then explained that this special man was infact his dad... That 1st facetime was very special ... This was in the March in the October we went to Ghana to finally meet his dad. He also got to meet some very special people who were turning up just to say hello. He hasn't been able to see his dad since then, until last week when I got a phone call at 7.30 am out of the blue from his dad to say his plane had landed in the UK So at 5pm on Saturday we had his dad ringing our doorbell, I've never seen so much shock and excitement in one 15yrds face!

We weren’t told that a family friend’s daughter was actually my brother’s half-sister until we were in university. And then we found out about his half-brother! 🙃
I was 18 when I last saw my dad. I’m now 45. It hurts every day. I hope he’s well. Just balled my eyes out watching this. Embrace every moment. Such a beautiful story.

I also don't know how I ended up here but wow this story is a million times better than anything that's out there. I'm so happy he reached out to you and the feelings to meet up was mutual. I can't even express how happy this makes me
Can’t believe I came across this video.. haven’t seen my son for 10 years now… I felt this, I dream of one day getting that message.. will never lose hope. Thank you 😢

It is so lovely to see a teenage Dad who fought to be in his child’s life. The fact that he is still so invested in his son is heartwarming. The videos from family and friends shows just how proud of being a Dad he is and just how loved Blaze is.
I'm 28 years old and have been estranged from my own father. He had contacted me through facebook a while ago and i was somehow terrified to respond. Afraid of rejection and not living up to expectations i didn't reply. This 13 yo kid took the leap and had more courage than i could ever have. It's so lovely to see this beautiful reunion. It fills my heart all the way and has given me some courage to let go of my own fear and just reach out.

This might come across as a little corny, but as a 16-year-old, I've struggled to have a solid relationship with my father. Watching the bond you and your father share, especially after being apart for some time, truly warms my heart. It’s inspiring to see how strong your connection remains despite the distance. Seeing this kind of relationship displayed in a TH-cam video is uplifting and gives me hope that family bonds can thrive under challenging circumstances. It reminds me of the importance of connection, love, and resilience. Thank you for sharing this beautiful moment.. it really resonated with me!💓!
So great to see this. I was around 16 when I reached out to my father and was told to never call again. Luckily I have the most amazing step father that raised me and guided me at that age. So glad to see you creating memories and and sharing love. I love being a dad its the best gift on the planet.

I thought the same thing. She was almost entirely not included in this story, which is sad. A young teenage mother who gives life to her child nowadays is extraordinary enough, and on top of that, she obviously did a fantastic job! He’s emotionally intelligent, well spoken, and brave!
@@ngs5554 According to the very little information given, she, as a minor, chose to give birth to her son instead of aborting him. Win #1. Then, again, as a child herself, she chose to go home to her support system and raise him. Win #2. What do you suggest she should’ve done? If your opinion is that she should’ve left her family to stay near her son’s biological father, (a teenager himself who was not ready to provide her the support a teen mother NEEDS) then you simply do not understand the needs of a young first time mother. The most important thing for the health, safety, and wellbeing of a newborn infant, is the health, safety and wellbeing of his mother. She obviously sought out the best help she could get, with her family. I am not faulting or blaming him for choosing the support of his own mother, that was his choice. He could have chosen to stay near his son, but he didn’t. That’s OK! He was only 16! It’s completely understandable! But please don’t say she wasn’t a good mother just because she made the very best choices she could for herself and her son. That’s all she could do. She couldn’t make his father’s choices for him.

I agree with your comment wholeheartedly about how people think they have the right to judge, this short story is one where you can only rejoice in the outcome, the long story is way to painful to dwell on. ❤❤❤❤
Yep I'm judging because this man abandoned his kid because he was in his feelings. He didn't even tell his friends he had a kid until after the little boy reached out. He lived his best life and threw his kid away and didn't even look back if this kid didn't reach out he'd still be in the trash.

I met my biological dad for the first time when I was already 18. Our meeting didn't go this way. I'm now 33 with a family of my own, and I rarely talk to that dude. But I'm glad you got to meet your son and you had an instant connection with him. Healing isn't for everyone, I guess, but I'm glad to see one of the instances where it worked.

My thinking kinda went from, "Woulda been nice if I had a father figure to teach me these things" to "I'm now a father as well. We're (me and that dude) practically on the same level now. No need to consult someone I barely know about things I can learn for myself." There's a lot of resentment there, for sure, but yeah. A beautiful story about second chances, & taking chances. Blazes’ Mum family ought to be congratulated on raising such a kind, sincere, & genuine young man. He’s got his head screwed on. Cheess to Blaze, and to all the love & care in his yesterdays and his tomorrows.
This is incredible, and I can totally understand how you feel. I was forced to allow my oldest two children go into an adoption situation when I left their biological father who was very abusive to me, and I have waited for all these years ever since for them, to be in contact with them again. The world can be so cruel. But this! This was beautiful. I hope he can see how you fought for him and how you thought of him, always!
But I wonder why he and the mom didnt keep in contact? Although logistics such as living in another country can make it difficult to see each other, you can keep connected more than ever with technology...why wait 14 years to re-connect and why did the son need to reach out first?
@@kpoppy9635 Either dad gave up or mom actively refused to allow son to see dad. A lot of women are spiteful after breakups and don't allow fathers to see their kids.
@kpoppy9635 well the video made it sound as though he wasn't allowed to see his child, which might have meant he was blocked on social media and whatnot as well. He might have been waiting for the day his son became old enough to seek him out on his own since dad couldn't.

No father should be torn apart from his son. This is so heartwarming 👌

💜💜💜
That is some beautiful advice. I hope your son’s father changes his ways. Your son has a smart and loving mum. 🌼🌸❤
I think this story of the absent father of 14 years being welcomed with open arms is one in a million, almost a fantasy.
He hasn't been able to see his dad since then, until last week when I got a phone call at 7.30 am out of the blue from his dad to say his plane had landed in the UK
So at 5pm on Saturday we had his dad ringing our doorbell, I've never seen so much shock and excitement in one 15yrds face!

I thought the same thing. She was almost entirely not included in this story, which is sad. A young teenage mother who gives life to her child nowadays is extraordinary enough, and on top of that, she obviously did a fantastic job! He’s emotionally intelligent, well spoken, and brave!
I agree
Did either of you watch the video? The mother took his son away from him. That’s not a good mother.

He was in another state and passed due to an overdose. If I could I would flown to meet him I unfortunately won’t ever get that chance was denied it from that extended family. This brought tears to my eyes. Don’t let him go. Y’all got this. Happy for y’all’s journey
Heart breaking, I'm sorry 😞 💔
Thank you so much for sharing your story as well as supporting ours, love from the two of us!
You look young enough to be his older brother, let alone his dad!! This is very heartwarming! Each day is a blessing! Take advantage of them!
🌹🌹
Thank you! 💛
Every child should be as wanted as your son. You are awesome. You both are so blessed. I'm so glad this turned up in my feed, not sure how it did. God bless you both.
Thank you so much for seeing the love I and everyone else has for Blaze, thank you for the support!❤️
Being able to hear this directly from you and now seeing the reunion is an absolutely a blessing! Thank you for inviting us into your life and sharing this journey with us. We love you Brad and Blaz!!!
So much love for you, Maya & Max!
Embrace him, love him, and tell him often. I don't know why I got this video up in recommended, but I'm crying happy tears for you.
I lost my own son, he died - I got the first 15 years, you get the rest of your life. Both is a blessing. I'm so happy for you both.
❤
so sorry to hear. 😔 Thank you for the support 🥹
I reached out to my own father around the same age, and was turned away. You and Blaze are so lucky to have each other and im so happy for him to have his father and a whole community around him

❤❤❤ lol, every time I watch it tear up, ❤❤❤
Yo, I cried so many times editing that part lol 🥹
I lost my dad early this year to a kidney disease. This video showed me the significance of a dad in his child's life, and the importance of a dad. I'm glad someone reunited with his dad. Some of us can only wait til that glorious morning ❤
What a great lad, he's obviously been raised very well. What a great start to being in each others lives.
This story had me BAWLING. All the best to both of you and be gentle to the the two teenagers who had to face an unbelievable reality.
🌹🌹
Even though I feel it is your job as a parent to keep in touch, I am so glad Blaze reached out and made the connection. Best of luck!
Oh my, I wasn’t watching the screen & I thought it was still the father speaking until he mentioned messaging his dad. They sound so alike! ❤ this was so uplifting & gave me hope that bad situations that seem hopeless can turn into good endings. 🙌🏻🙏🏻
❤❤❤
iv never seen a dad care that much about his son thats so sweet im ur sons age
💜💜😊😊
💛
Thats sad
If he care that much , he would be in his life. BS
@@iolip5780You clearly didn't watch the video. So much bitterness?
Watching this video as an Italian, it made me laugh so hard when the Italian friend popped up in the most Italian way. Blessings to all in this video, y’all look very nice people.
Love that guy so much 😂 One of my best friends in Italy 🇮🇹
We love our Italian family lol ❤
I’m glad he’s reaching out at 14 and not 21

Every son needs his dad. I can see your son feels whole inside. How amazing.
❤❤
This is what we need more of. Pure, wholehearted, natural, positive, unscripted, real content.
❤❤❤
Absolutely sobbing at this. My dad chose to have me but was never actually there. Never put in the effort to build a suitable life for his children.
I am so happy Blaze has you as a father.
Much love to your whole family
❤❤❤❤ thank you
Thank you! 💛
Was there a reason that after going to court for 1 year, that u went twelve+ years never trying to see or even message or call your son? & Also it sounds like your Son's Mother/his Mom has done a great job at raising a respectable, polite young Man. ❤. Surely with it being all these years later his Mom& you can get along for the sake of your son & put your own feelings aside. That's what my ex/my 2 children's Father & I do.
It seems to me that you had a great way of thinking about your son and your situation with him as a young parent. I am glad he saw that love and care in your message to him and your choices and did not hold any negative feelings. How amazing that he got to see you on YT too? He got to know you and see you in a different way than anyone could have imagined when we were kids (I am very close to your age). All your friends and other family's messages were so sweet! It must have made him feel so included in your life right away! This was so beautiful. It is NEVER too late.
❤❤❤❤❤
I was adopted, my adoptive parents gave me hell so I never really felt like I had a real family. I found my mum after 13 years. Some hiccups as she is still learning how to be a mother and I’m still learning how to have a mother. But it was the best thing I did finding her. Cried this entire video. So proud of you both. God never puts two souls together for no reason. The birthday was not a coincidence. Praise be to God. May he continue to guide you both Ameen. 💕💕💕🥺🥺
Thank you so much for the support!
and thanks for sharing!
This is so beautiful and I'm absolutely thrilled for you both! My father and I were separated when I was 3 months old. We didn't reconnect until I was 28. He passed when I was 39. I'll forever be thankful for the time we had together! This makes me so happy! ♥️🙏🏻
❤❤❤❤

So beautiful the way you two just fell in (dad and kiddo) love at first sight. Second sight, because I'm sure you felt that way on the day he was born. But those smiles, and the light in your eyes were everything. Congratulations on your reunion!
Thank you! ❤️
Outstanding! The Lad is as gorgeous and energetic as his Father. Peace and Love be with you both in your new journey together. ❤❤
Thank you so much! 🥹🙏🏽
It’s so obvious in this video that the staff has told so many people about him throughout his life, and that so many people are loving this child, even though they be either never met him or met him when he was very little, so I’m happy that this is happening so great!
Honestly if you didn’t get emotional I would have worried about you. This was beautiful. Wishing you both a beautiful journey ahead.

Wow!!! He is your mini twin! I am so glad you two got to meet and see each other again!! Thank you for sharing!

Seeing the video montage of people who love Blaze that he didn't know about... It really got me. Haha. Cheers to the Dads out there that actually want to have relationships with their kids. Wishing you both all the best, Brad and Blaze!
Brad, this is so brave of you to share the world your story. I'm literally speechless. It tears me up, but it's heart warming and full of love. I'm also very glad Blaze took the courage to send you a message, and coincidentally on your birthday. Your hearts know you both are ready and destined to reconnect and build a beautiful family. To Blaze, your dad is such an amazing, warm and friendly person I've met even just twice in the streets of Barcelona while he was doing photography. So proud of you guys!
Thank you so much for the kind words and support, it means a lot! 💛🙏🏽🥹

Hi Brad, can't imagine the joy you are experiencing in reuniting with your son Blaze. After so many years apart it is awesome that Blaze reached out and found his dad.
You've got a good lookin' boy, I can totally see you in him. I will say this, his mom seems to have done an excellent job raising such a lovely young man, so good job to mom and the family that raised him. Now it is a new day, the boy needs to have his dad in his life, and I believe his dad needs him in his life as well.
I had a similar story only I reached out to my son just as the Internet social media was getting going, my son was 14 and he is now 30, a grown married made, I was at his wedding to a beautiful wife and during his 30th surprise birthday I was invited by his wife, it was probably one of the best thing in my life after his birth so emotional.
❤❤❤❤
From the bottom of my heart, congrats on your baby boy. Everything else doesn't matter. Prayers of closeness to you both. Second chances are a blessing
❤❤❤ thank you for your beautiful message, yep, nothing else matters.❤
Thank you!! 🙏🏽💛
Thanks for sharing this heart warming story, many blessings
Thank you 💛

I have no clue who either of these people are, this video just randomly came up in my TH-cam feed. I’m so glad it did though because it’s such a heartwarming story, it was so sweet seeing all of Brad/the dad’s friends saying hello to Blaze. I had to hold back tears, it’s so beautiful to see the connections humans can have with each other… i hope to make many friends like that 🥺
❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you 🥹
I love that your friends joined in on including Blaze. Best wishes in your years ahead.
Father and Son reunited, amazing, wonderful life changing experience for both of you. Well done for his Mamma bring a polite mature and grounded young Man. 👏
As someone who has a bad relationship with my dad, this really warmed my heart.
Really changed my perspective that there are many fathers out there who love they're children unconditionally. 🥰
🌹🌹💜
This video fills my heart with so much love and joy. Blaze’s message on starting the conversation reminded me of how i connected with my dad and that side of my family at 16. Sending so much love and strength to the both of you 💙
wow! so beautiful to hear that you also reconnected with your family. Sending love and thanks from Blaze and I! 🥹
Beautiful. Keep building your bond. I dont know the circumstances or the situation that kept you both apart for 14 years. But I'm glad you both are reconnecting and building a relationship. You both deserve it.
Thank you 💛🥹
He said in the video that the mom took the baby away at three months old and he was in court for a year (and he was only 16 years old himself.)
I think you are one of the Luckiest Guys out there. Your Son looks amazing and he truly was so happy to see you. I wish you nothing but the best in your future enendeavors. Love one another to the fullest extent you can. Loved & enjoyed your story.
@@dianemarieevans9145 I definitely feel lucky & extremely grateful 🥹

The algorithm showed me your story and I'm happy for you guys. I really wished the person who brought me into this world would step up to his role as a father. But not everybody can be happy like you two. I'm thankfull that you prove me not all dads are like the one which I have
🌹🌹💜💜
I hate how circumstances kept you both separated for so long. It must've been so hard to go through for both you as a father and Blaze as a kid, likely thinking he just didn't have a dad around.
@@kpoppy9635many mothers bar the child from contacting their dad
@@kpoppy9635 Either dad gave up or mom actively refused to allow son to see dad. A lot of women are spiteful after breakups and don't allow fathers to see their kids.
@@Nabee_H yet he can see his kid now.
Idk what changed from back then other than the father having the money to travel.
@kpoppy9635 well the video made it sound as though he wasn't allowed to see his child, which might have meant he was blocked on social media and whatnot as well. He might have been waiting for the day his son became old enough to seek him out on his own since dad couldn't.
im 18 in 5 days now, and ive been watching TH-cam a few hours a day since I was 8, and this was definitely one of the best videos I've watched. This is beautiful, this video was a pure sense of euphoria, and I will keep this saved for when I want to look back to such an amazing story. Thank you Brad. Proud of you Blaze

I'm sitting here pregnant just bawling my eyes out. What a special boy you have man.

Amazing my bro. The growth you have had as a man, and to see Blaze as a young man is totally heart warming. Couldnt be happier for you both. Also cant believe just hoe much Blaze looks like a young Bradskii!
Love you both so much. Blaze, welcome back to whānau!!
Love you so much! Sumskii, thanks for being here all these years and thanks for being part of this video 🥹💛
Happy for all of you! Brad, I would love to see an interview with your mom explaining what she remembers what happened to you in court. How do they (the childs mother, grandparents & court) justify denying a parent to see their child? No contact at all seems cruel. I hope laws have changed. You had the perfect attitude about getting your own life in good shape so you could be ready for him! Others need to learn from that so please keep sharing.
