Enjoyed your show last night at the Comedy Catch! LOVE the blinking eyes trying not to remember your baby's birth, and the whole little set about babies being born.
This is SO funny to me.....my father always pronounces Italy: Eyetaly....and Italians: Eyetalains! My son has always responded: Who do you know from Eyetaly? I love it!
He did an HBO stand up routine @ 1990. I recorded it and played it over and over. I'll never forget the sleep button joke. He also did a guest appearance on Designing Women. I always liked him. After 25 yrs up there I don't see him as uncomfortable as in someones previous post.
@cansmacb, I also think he's brilliant because he doesn't resort to anger or profanity to make people laugh, but rather draws on real-life experiences for humor.
@@vicordecastro2851Korean is his ethnicity because his parents are from Korea, but on many of his standups he had said he was born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee.
He married a woman from Alabama, so it makes sense for him to make alot of southern jokes. If Bill Engvall had a distant Asian cousin, it'd probably be Henry Cho.
He said on a podcast that he was good friends with him when they both were starting out and how someone wanted him for a requiring job in LA but he wasn't living there at that time and had to fly back out for another job and Bill was with him and tried to let them know he lived there and was available and they snobbed him and walked away. Henry laughed so hard and said Bill was completely floored. 😂
I don't. I was remarking that "Southern Korean," a Korean raised in the South with Southern behavior and accent would be funnier than the "Scotch-Koreans" in those Starburst commercials. The South Koreans just call themselves "Koreans." They call their half of the peninsula "Dae-han-min-guk" or "Republic of Korea."
When you’re pregnant, you’re building a baby from scratch. You start with 2 cells, with a recipe on them, but you have to provide all the ingredients and all the work. It isn’t just like a teeny tiny baby starts on day 1 and just grows bigger over time, it’s not a “baby” for a while. For a long time, it’s just a lump of goo. Your body has to create the baby, piece by piece. It doesn’t even resemble a baby until about 20 weeks. It consumes a lot of your energy and resources to build it, pregnant women are at risk for tooth decay, bone and eye damage bc the body will use up her calcium and start leeching it from the bones. Pregnancy is a very difficult, very resource intensive journey, and we shouldn’t force people to commit to one before they’re ready. Especially people who are young or didn’t consent.
@@rainbomg oh i see, i get it now thanks. Should’ve thought a little harder, maybe then I would have got it, i think this applies to everything in my life sadly
@@joemchang well at least you cared enough to seek out the answer! It’s better than shrugging and doing nothing about it. I love people who ask questions, bc I know they are paying attention and not pretending
Henry Cho the timely yet timeless comedian whose jokes still stand up today. Great podcast featuring him on Nateland. Keep 'em coming Mr. Cho!

@jenforyou, I agree. He's even funnier because he talks about real stuff, and doesn't have to resort to being angry or swearing to be funny.
The town he's talking about is the one I live in. *facepalm*
A Southern Korean. That's a greater contradiction than a Scotch-Korean
