There are so many fake mobile oil sellers in the market that you have to be extra cautious from where you get the oil from. It is very easy to buy used oil from the market and then repackage it after dye process. This fakery is so high level that it is almost impossible for a common person to detect a fake bottle of oil from an original bottle. If the codes are reused by fake oil producers, company reply will be the same. Companies should devise some method so that this code is used only once.

What if someone copies the same QR code and packaging information and pastes on all the boxes? The data would still tally. Unless the scanned code works for 1 time only.

The laser seal test is a good test but the other tests can easily be faked by making qr code for the details on the box or even getting used box.

Yes exactly, don't know why nobody takes action on fake oil sellers. We spent a lot of money to maintain our engines. Unfortunately we can't do anything, this is such a shame. Kisi country me asa nhe hota jo is mulk me hota Hai.
ThankYou Mohsin for this valuable information. I learnt my lesson about 14 years ago when a mechanic changed my Corolla oil with the yellow Shell oil canister that he had at with him. Even in those days the yellow coloured Shell oil was notorious for having fake oil copies. My car’s engine started knocking after a week or 10 days. The mechanic swore that the oil was original and that something was wrong with my engine.
Now, I mostly buy from petrol stations and this video is very helpful.
You can't trust the petrol pumps either. One sells the original and the other doesn't. I am a witness, bought one Shell Red box from a pump and it was luckily original, the next time I bought a Shell red box near the airport pump station and that was fake, even though I scanned the QR code.
@@IamAli89 even shell is using fake,I don't use mobiloil for long change after half the km the mechanics give only onced I run the mobiloil for given limit & my engine was acting kathara I knew it then not to trust the limit of 1500 & get from quality vendor, always wondering where to get it changed

Ab to her shop aik aik shop per jali oil hai. Petrol pumps per b oil jali hai. Kiyun k wo without seal k hote hen.

More info for you people.
Once SMS is done or QR code is scanned then that number is DIFFUSED in the system of the Caltex company.
This mean that: the number will not be verifiable again.
Hence the number is ONE TIME verifiable.
Reason: If the fake packer will pick the empty can and try to use the empty can again by filling fake oil and pasting scratchable paper, then their fake product will not be verified due to above rule.
Side note: Retail price of Havoline Motor oil 20W-50 3L is quoted wrong in the video.
