This video and the next 4 in the U.S. History playlist may save my third quarter grade, and I'm sure I'll be spending tremendous amounts of time over spring break watching all of them in preparation for the AP U.S. History exam in May! Thank you so much for such a great overview of this stuff!
Sorry if you've heard it before, and cheers for the quick reply! Your videos are incredible, I'm doing US history at uni right now and whenever I start a topic I come to your videos for a quick overview, keep up the good work

Good question. If there are any other examples to look at, I would say look at Japan after WWII. Im not sure the answer but the Versailles Treaty I think did provide a stage for Hitler to garner power in the first place.
Jonathan, yeah, I've kinda heard that before..... trust me, I learned my lesson. I promise future videos will give proper shoutout to the British Commonwealth. And I do appreciate moments of clarity and especially appreciate the way you did it. I hope you continue to watch..... buckets of peace...... ~hughes
whats the koombaya song?with the 14 points?thanks a lot-ill just say here for all the clips you have done and i watched are great!nice, deataild and short!love it! whish you were my teacher!
question, do you think the allies in World War I could have stopped Hitler coming to power in later years by treating the defeated Germany a lot better?
Nice mini-lecture. I would add that the fight for "democracy" was hollow since the UK and France had their own colonies and that their partitioning of the Ottoman Empire led indirectly to the problems we have in the Middle East today.
Germany didn't start WWI. Britain had totally blocked them off, they sent out Navy ships to prevent Britain from isolating them into starvation. So they attacked English ships. They warned America and America didn't listen. Sure it made people angry, but in no way could Germany be blamed for this war, when so many factors were involved.
I think you did a disservice to the large numbers of US citizens who held sympathies towards Germany's position and Wilson's campaign pledge to remain out of foreign wars.
Man the Old Hip Hughes was really something.
Your content has improved soooo much. Nice work!
I came here to say the same thing lmao
