I'm having tremendous difficulty with my Assault. The situation is unplayable. With balance weapons I can play but with blocks I do not understand how some can play lethal with Assault
I knew something felt off, I'm pretty average but I could comfortably hold my own against 4 warriors in melee without taking a hit, now I'll be lucky if I don't go down
The fact that Saber broke fencing and there's people on their official Discord and Steam forums that are defending it as a "skill issue" or "shadow patch" goes to show how screwed the community is mentally and how out of touch Saber can keep themselves hiding behind their glazers. But there's already a pattern of Saber destroying games, Killing Floor 2 being one of them.
I am quite literally in the 1% of Space Marine 2 players. Which isn´t even hard. This is a flawless solo run on patch 5.0. I assure you this is not a skill issue. It´s just a blatant nerf and fencing weapons are quite literally broken right now. Not nerfed. Broken

Putting anything before the Chaos pack is unbelievably stupid. There is effectively ZERO customization playing as Chaos right now. If you're heavy you're locked as an Iron Warrior. If you're a Sniper you're locked as Alpha Legion. The Chaos Marine Raptor model they went with for the assault class looks terrible, I'm not even sorry it just does.
Is the Assault doing more jump pack dodge instead of going into the air or I am crazy? Grenades start to be buggy too, sometimes I use melta as Assault and after using it I have another one... Fencing is really bad now, it's unexistent you need to parry when the tyranid blade is about to reach you, not when the parry animation starts. This is massive issue, I'm doing more dodging than parrying since 5.0.
also thank you nobody else brings up the contested hp issue, i run both tactical and a bulwark with contested health perks and it depletes as i get to my execution and either my strongest weapon is empty trying to get the execute or it was empty before i got to it so now i cant even shoot for it and melee contested health regen is still a fucking joke despite it being 90% of this game

I agree with everything you said about the state of the game , but there is also another big problem : the content . Many 40k fans like myself bought the game thinking we would have , at some point - Given the statements of the devs - being put in epic scale battlefields ( like Planetside 2 , for example ) that could go on almost endlessly like helldivers 2 community effort to conquer and repel the invaders with WAY MORE than just 3 doofers in a bland map trying to survive. Epic battles between armies is what 40k is most renown for , and Saber knows that.. but no, we the fans apparently count nothing and be left in stupid 3 man ops like forever , without any hope to , one day , have that kind of 40k game. Its disheartening and unjust
Theyve stated its a bug but I dont believe them. I think they nerfed fencing into the ground to push people to use the new block mechanic. We shall see what they do over the next week. The change to dodge seems to be a big bonus for some players that were getting serious ping thiugh, so thats nice.
We planned to play as last weekends with friend operations on lethal difficulty. Apart from the fencing debacle, key mapping on pc is broken, insane random lag (we never had it before). In the end we played POE2 , waiting for the patch. Playing Space Marine2 is not fun for us at the moment. A hotfix could be good, but maybe i twasnt possible and i can understand that and wait. However a post By Saber " Sorry guys we f***ed up, we plan to release a patch next week to fix it" would really be welcome.

Fencing weapon works like balance with lesser dmg than balance. I see some people telling people 'skill issue' people forgrtting if you get surrounded by over 3 nids warriors the impact is more obvious. Fencing is hot garbage rn.

It's not just that. My PS5 interact button is broken!!! It's not my controller because it works in the battle barge. In ops, my interact button only works when sprinting! Insane!!

Okay I knew I wasn't going crazy. I had a bulwark set me up for a heal on execute with the banner yesterday when we had just put a Carnifex in execute. So the execute animation begins and the contested health bar immediately jumps to max health (I was probably around 50%). As soon as I begin the execute animation the contested health bar starts rapidly dropping. I maybe got 10% health back. I have never in my life seen the contested health bar diminish once you already began the execute animation. Total BS
I run Bulwark and I will agree with this, Bulwark's Banner has been messed with and not a good way, so in other words, they messed up melee (not a skill issues, something is definitely broke/bugged) and the Bulwark Banner, at least half of the perks/Talents for most classes aren't even used, completely looked over by the entire player base. If the stuff worked better while technically being broken, leave it broken, don't break it even more. . .
Honestly, if they pull another patch like this that absolutely screws over stuff that ABSOLUTELY DID NOT NEED A FIX I am absolutely fucking done. This and the issue of the connection issues that happen so randomly each time a big horde spawns in, I went from loving this game to absolutely hating it. Broken to shit servers and brains at Saber.

I had a server crash on operations and lost all my progress in the game , have written back to them but they told me they can't do anything about it...
i played a few rounds after the patch and anything i bind to the q button just don't work. i bind parry to q and after aiming with guns etc nothing happend if i push q. tried moving it to e and it works kinda okay but it broke the game for me since i put parry on q since day 1. hope they fix all this since i really enjoyed the game before..
I don't understand why they had to mess with fencing weapons. I thought the aoe knockback being reduced would be alright but I'm getting hardly any parrys off now. I'm no where near as good as you but I was walking through inferno and ballistic engine on substantial with my fencing hammer and now I'm hardly making it through on average. Thought it was me but no. They just need to put fencing back to pre patch levels

AI director throws nothing but minoris at you, and the only 'high skill' option is to mash and hold the melee button, and get the executions. So they failed twice. Infinite armor is now just wade through minoris and gun strike and execute the fallen with a balanced weapon, and parry when able. If they hadn't fucked contested health, game would be easier. But, with that vanishing in a second, it's harder. It's just not harder in a fun way. It's harder in a way that makes you feel weaker. The only exception I've found is Tactical with the block chain sword. The damage output on that is insane. But what were they thinking??? You don't want everyone using parry, so you make it so everyone has to use tactical, GL and the chainsword?

I love Germany and Germans. Accent is so great they’re all friendly and well educated. Except that period from 1920s-1944. So I thought I just sucked at the game all the sudden. Go to know I’m not. Noticed overall that most players I play with are taking damage even going down on average let alone ruthless. I thought it was a skill issue lmao.
