i just beat this game after finding it for the first time in 10 years and it took me forever to beat and I instantly thought what the heck is the world record and you blew my mind
This entire speedrun alone is still less time than when I attempted to do runaway runt. Honestly, that level is such a pain. Especially when your controls are somehow buggy (I use the steam version) and runt decides it’s not possible to stop in the middle when going there from the left side. Noooo. He has to go all the way to the right. Heck. I had even attempted to do that level on disc. Doesn’t have the bug I believe, but still never got past that part. Imo anyone who ever manages to beat that level on normal mode WITH the buggy controls, is absolutely amazing. There was also this one part where I tried to do the thing at the school level where you just jump into the window from the cable. Tried once, didn’t work. Tried a second time and it instantly teleported me to the next level. Didn’t go the way I wanted it to but it still worked out. Somehow.
bro i swear on the level where you collect 15 coins for the soda i keep getting launched out of bounds then i cant move so i have to restart the entire escape chapter over. little did i know you were not suppose to go up that windmill thing that moves up and down or you get launched into the corn field and fly right through it.
Used to play this back when i was really young, i lost the Ps2 somehow, but i just found it again 3 days ago and my lil brother is playing this game and ALWAYS NEEDED HELP MEANWHILE I'M DOING A HEIST ON GTA ONLINE ;-; All my shit life aside, this speedrun is really smooth 10/10, idk if it's the world record or something but damn that's fast.
How does a speedrun of this game takes longer than the actual movie? Well, at least we can say to an extent that the game is a better product than the movie.
Playing on GameCube is perfectly fine, to my knowledge there are no version differences. Just know that you would be at a disadvantage due to loading times. Here is a short guide on loading times between versions: www.speedrun.com/Disneys_Chicken_Little/guide/1poob
Once you complete the game make a save file after the last level. Then load that file and chapter select to the first level. After that you should be able to skip the cutscenes

I was so bad at this game, by the time i got past the baseball stage, the speedrun would be over. But then again i was 5 or 4

The nail on the coffin for me was the first Abby section. Could not get through that at all as a kid.

The game starts really good, but at the second half it becomes only "rush" or arcade stile levels. They abandoned the platform genre.
Pure legend,my childhood,,it was tough back than,,but I ended up ending the whole game once when I download bevause of the memories when I was like 11
Are you going to speedrun this game again ? Some people found multiple glitches / out of bounds tricks to save a few minutes.
I wish I could but the game doesn't run on my new computer. I would definitely love to get the record back one day.
