Greninja is one of the best pokemon when it comes to pve, but it shines against rocket battles It reaches charge moves so fast thanks to water shuriken, and it learns both hydro cannon (for damage) and night slash (for baiting shields and it can boost your attack)
agreed. Greninja is the best for Rocket battles, especially the Leaders since it only needs 5 fast moves to remove all the shields (using Night Slash). Moreover, the current leaders lineups are weak against Water-type (two of the 1st Pokémon are rock-type, last one of Cliff commonly is Tyranitar while Sierra is Houndoom). The Ultra League Greninja is far enough, and it's perfect for LV50's Task that requires using a team of 3 Pokémon under 2500CP to take down the leaders.
Virizion. Great against water, ground, rock, steel, dark, and normal grunts. Excels against Leaders. Dominates against Giovanni. Pretty good in UL, too. Expensive but worth it.
This is all very overwhelming to be honest. The video is clear and easy to understand yes, but what's overwhelming is that all these pokemon take a great deal of candy and stardust to invest in. Deciding who to invest in first is hard. I don't play a ton because I'm basically stuck doing solo play and I don't have a lot around me where i live. Which is the other part of things, how do I capitalize on raiding for these cool legendary pokemon when I can't really rely on help or anything?
There are no real secrets. You just have to grind. The only things you can do is visit really populated areas for bigger events. You could start a second account on another phone, but honestly it’s more work than you would think. And invest in an auto catcher. Any way you look at it, it’s a lot of work, and even more work in your situation. The one thing you can do is use poke genie and join raids remotely. But that can get really expensive.
I will add, if you are serious about grinding, what I do is an auto catcher and I cycle a lot. Assuming you are of working age you can use an auto catcher when commuting, and maybe your work has pokestops near by so your auto catcher can work in the background.
Could you do a quick in depth for specific pokémon? movesets, what they’re good for, what iv’s to look for (other than hundo) shadow forms etc? i have a lot of good pokémon that need some help
In poke genie raids simulator it is recomended force palm for lucario insead of counter, so i guess is more dps overall. After counter nerf i think the debate has ended but we still need to see.(I would elite tm my lucario, I tm counter after raid day :(. Talking about pvp, pvppoke still recommends counter but in my veteran grind all lucarios i had seen have force palm. When im against lucario i notice hugely the fast attack damage, i am pro force palm.
Hey lucky, just a question about the DPS/TDO spreadsheet, the link in your description does not show newer Pokemon like Dusk Mane Necrozma for me. Can you help me see the rankings for the newer Pokemon too? I know gamepress is making a v2 website but that spreadsheet doesn't let me type in the sort bar for some reason. Thanks and great vids, keep it up
They've been doing site maintenance for a while now and still haven't updated it with new Pokémon or moves. The old webpage only started working again recently
To my knowledge rocket battles use the same stats as gbl so be mindful of the upcoming nerfs to many many moves one for example is counter while it’s still great for gyms and raids it will be strictly a downgrade from forcepalm (lucario) and karate chop (machamp) both sadly are elite tms. Like im sure counter will get the job done but it is something to be mindful of
Yeah, hopefully the shakeup isn't too bad for Counter, but we'll have to wait and see. On the other hand, Pokemon with Mud Slap that were featured will be even more powerful once the updates go into effect.
The hundo is only better when the max CP of the Pokemon falls below the 1500 or 2500 CP limits for GL and UL. In the case of Alolan Muk, you will want to go with normal PvP IVs
Many good here, including shadow hooh, S tyr, S rampardos, S salamence, kartana etc. However you left out MANY top picks for go rocket and i do not know why you didnt include these which are much better than many you mentioned. These are: Shadow Machamp, S Conkeldurr, S Darmanitan, S Chandelure, S Gengar, S Metagross
This is almost entirely irrelevant info for players like me that just started a couple weeks ago but I understand I'm not the target audience. I got RayQ but because i didn't spend and started late i couldn't get meteorite. Maybe add more budget options for newer players?

I have a maxed Level 50 Greninja, gonna need to try this out!
This is spot on, greninja is one of the best for rockets. Even as neutral damage it can be good.
So should I use water shuriken and night slash or hydro cannon and night slash?
@@LeCaleb water shuriken is a fast move, and is not a legacy one.
So I recommend those three moves in its moveset

Forced palm for lucario right now is a little worse imo because the spam of counter was amazing but the new nerf just makes forced palm leagues ahead
Thanks for the info Lucky!
I have to recommend shadow Chandelure as a fire attacker. Incinerate + flame charge buff is absolutely insane
Virizion. Great against water, ground, rock, steel, dark, and normal grunts. Excels against Leaders. Dominates against Giovanni. Pretty good in UL, too. Expensive but worth it.
You have piqued my interest! I always knew Virizion was good for the UL, but I never considered it for Rockets

Was cres worth getting ir was it a win saving the super secret ultra radar?
Save
After the meta shakeup, it was worth stacking the radar.
Force palm feels like it takes a lot longer to get to charge moves than counter. I don’t know the numbers, just how it feela
for rocket grunts I am using a Giratina with shadow claw and dragon claw. its a very spammy moveset
Giratina (Altered) is a fantastic Pokemon, and it also benefits from ML relevance!

None of the characters listed are available in the wild. These are all obtained from Raids and whatnot.
I’m so confused, in your clips you had options to choose between 2 moves. I’ve never seen that in my game before. How do I do that!?
You can do this with Elite TMs
You can teach a second move with candy and stardust
